How much extra for teh slotted? or how much for a brake shop to do?
MS65 will give you a 5 stud hub. Then you go with a disk / calliper combo.Originally Posted by mikie

I havent looked into it much, but the dude i got my gear off told me its running Falcon hubs??? BA Falcon ones i think... Ill double check but worth getting some numbers on. I also think they are same stud pattern as the hilux diff!
So thats a double bonus

So besides the old pug/hilux/etc conversion has anyone got a good combo for original struts? I want to keep the orig. ta22 struts but upgrade the brakes. If your adapting the rn25 lux diff it makes sense to keep the 5 stud rear end, as I've heard it's easy to adapt coon front brakes to a '22. (being the same stud pattern as the rn25) The engineer I am getting to put the rn25 diff into the ta22 said he can easily adapt coon discs and 5 stud pattern to my car on the front, trouble is I just bought some 114.3 15's for it!
Santa came and delivered a present to the brake shop i use:

you coilover sets should come with a new coilover spring hat, which replaces the old one you just put you strut top on after that
what he said.
coilovers have a smaller diameter spring which the coil over kit wil have a hat to suit.
with the std hat you will have issues of it hitting the body in the strut tower... where as the smaller diameter new hat will move around further giving way more adjustment posibilities.

With the peugot hubs from the hilux/peugot/rona upgrade, when you replace the bearings, do you have the get the old cups pressed out and the new cups pressed back in? Or is it just a matter of hitting the old ones out enough with a hammer or something, and then just sliding the new ones straight back in...?
Cheers,
Jase

Can tap the bearing cups in and out with a hamer and punch, clean the old grease out first as there is usualy a gap in the ledge bearings seat against that makes it easier to get a punch against it.
