GS171 1G-FE diff case is 41311-22060
GS171 1G-FE diff gear is 41201-80015 which is 4.556 ratio
JZS173 1JZ-GE diff case is 41311-22060
JZS173 1JZ-GE diff gear is 41201-80004 which is 4.300 ratio
which are both identical to the GXE10 and some SXE10s
We know that the GXE10 has an A/F 7.5" series diff. The EPC, therefore, suggests that the GS171 diff is in fact an F and not a G, regardless of whether it's an A or something else.
Going a bit further:
JSZ175 2JZ-FSE diff case is 41311-22080
which is the same as the:
JCE10 2JZ-GE or IS300.....
Incidently, the diff gear is 41201-80050 for both the 2JZ-FSE JSZ175 and 2JZ-GE JCE10 at 3.727.
This would imply it's a G series diff.
Too bad Linden's EPC throws an error when I try to select JZA80
The EPC isn't too good at identifying which engine that part belongs to (or I don't know how to do it other than tracing it back by looking at the specific car with the specific engine).

Jealousy is a curse
We know that the so called "A" series Supra/Soarer/Aristo diffs cover ratios from 3.27:1 to 4.08:1, and they are all pretty easy to get hold of
The question is will the centres or ideally just the cw+p gearsets from the JZX/IS/GS which give you access to ratios above 4.08:1 fit?
NO!!Originally Posted by Sciflyer
At least not the ones you've pointed out thus far.
What information suggests it's G? Everything I can see suggest this part number is F.Originally Posted by madmont
You guys are not looking at all the info (unless I'm reading this completely wrongly).
GS171 is NOT a G - it sits on a 41311-22060 diff case - 41311-22080 is the G series case.
41201-80015 is not a G - this crownwheel sits on a 41311-22060 diff case.
JCE10 is the 2WD IS300 - accepted as G series - 41311-22080 diff case.
JCE15 is (i'm fairly sure) the 4WD IS300 which appears to have the same diff as the GXE10 and GXE15 - presumably because it has two diffs they don't need to be as strong and you get exactly the same assembly front and rear.
Be careful with things like JZS17* because it can be a 1JZ-GTE/2JZ-FSE (bigger diff) or 1JZ-GE (smaller diff) or 1JZ-FSE or whatever - it does not imply G series diff.
On the same page that has the 41201 number there should be an assembly for the actual hemisphere - should start with 41311 or 41301 (from memory) or others. This is the bit that the crownwheel bolts onto.Originally Posted by wilbo666
Altezza GXE1*, SXE10, JCE1*. The Aus IS200/IS300 have different part numbers. For the IS200 at least, the part cw&p part numbers do not appear in the toyota EPC, however the case is 41311-22060 (based on a phone conversation with Lexus dude).Originally Posted by wilbo666

You are correct I am wrong again the part number is for the front diff of the Hilux which is F series
I have now corrected it

Ah OK, when you said case, I was thinking the big cast thing that all the other parts sit in and you bolt into the carOriginally Posted by Mos
