i am guessing that it would make a big difference actually. Ever heard of limph mode?

    Is it really fuel'y?

yeah, no o2 sensor = limp mode the computer would be dumping fuel in to run safely as it doesnt know whats happening.

Please take the advice given here check the codes (will tell you what is wrong) and put in the o2 sensor, they need to be done.

you should be fine with any 4 wire oxy sensor. ntk or bosch are some of the better brands. bursons or your local auto store will have them.

Little extra info, not sure if it really makes that big a difference, but the silvertop runs a 6 Ohm heater circuit, and the blacktop is 12 Ohm.

BUT, contrary to a couple of comments above, not having the oxygen sensor connected to a factory 20V ecu DOES NOT make the ecu go into limp mode. I myself, and several other people i know firsthand, have run without an oxy sensor and it does nothing to affect performance. The only thing you miss is closed loop lean cruise so your fuel economy will suffer. (The upside is some nice pop and crackle on overrun with a good exhaust.) When you stomp on it the ecu goes blindly to the programmed maps (which are rich too).

And you get an error code but only when you put it in diagnosis mode, it will not make the check engine light come on under normal driving conditions.

so, it must be some other wires not being connected making it slow and crap to start
