    Default Mating a 1UZ to a W58 box?

    Hi all,

I have contacted CRS and they basically didnt want to give me any details as it would be "wasting their time".

Does anyone know what exactly is required to mate the 1UZ to the W58 supra box?
I have found their price list and it has the BH106A - TOY Quad Cam\supra bellhousing for $480, but below that it lists BH106A Kit for $1673.
Does anyone know what the kit contains and if its worth the extra money?
If it contains bellhousing, clutch, flywheel and everything i need, then its worth it.

I currently have a fresh 7MGTE twin plate clutch I am wanting to use so all I'd need to mate it to the 1UZ is a flywheel. Am i correct, or lost the plot?

As i've said, I have contacted CRS directly and they really didnt want to talk about it, and Dellow autos are shut till next week so i thought I'd try my luck on here.

    Cheers in advance!

There are a few options for housings. CRS and some from NZ are available. 5-700 seems to be ballpark, the kit I suspect would include fly, clutch and pressure plate. If you are using your own twin plate then the fly will need to be made to suit as you'd be very lucky to have it bolt up to a std fly.

    Project page for 1UZ into JZA80 with W58, http://www.v-eight.com/tech_forum/vi...p?t=99&start=0

Used NZ bell hsng, issues with fork and pivot and slave cylinder clearance. Ended up using a Tilton concentric bearing.

    What car is it for?

    Sbyder,

Kit should include, bellhousing, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, fork, slave cylinder, spigot bearing and release bearing. I bought a similar kit, but not from CRS.

Not sure whether you can use your clutch with the flywheel they supply, it would really depend on the size of the clutch kit they supply you with.

    Hope that helps,
    Cheers,
    Johnny

If the twin plate is a PUSH clutch that will suit a 7MGE flywheel, then you can order everything off CRS except the clutch.

If the twin plate is a PULL clutch that will suit a 7MGTE flywheel, then you'll need a custom flywheel and an R154 (which I thought you were using anyway???)

well the car had a 7MGTE in it running a W58 box.

How can I tell if its push or pull type with it still bolted up to the 7M and gearbox is off?

W58's always have push clutches from the factory.
So unless there is a pull-me-push-me convertor (not even sure if it would work) then its a push clutch.

I've only seen/heard of push-type conversions from pull-type setups, not the other way around. But yeah, with a W58 it will be push-type.
