ok just read loggin features in re to OBD-II. Good idea and all, but what happens if you are not running a factory computer? Must be capable of having auxbox plugged in for logging, its great having that extra data on the screen for road tuning though. Dammit innovate why couldnt the lm1 have been more like this.

Is this unit compatiable with auxbox? Auxbox has an incredible range of datalogging.

How much did the kit set u back and whered it come from?

    Cheers.
Purchase directly from Innovate Motorpsorts, from their website.

    http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lm2.php

Because the A$ is so good against the US$ this is a bargain. The only slug was the shipping.

    LM-2 $479US
    Shipping $136FedEx Express

Innovate send you a tracking number so you can see the package's progress, from California, through Hawaii to Sydney. Took 4 days from time I sent the order.

    Cheers,

Logging is to the SD card, then it can be transferred to LogWorks on your computer or you can use the USB cable directly. SD card has 1Gb capacity.

innovate owns. you wont be dissapointed. yes their shipping is wild i dont know why, its just a shame this product is so new otherwise you could have purchased their product off ebay with $30 USPS shipping instead of $130 USPS shipping.

Cant wait to see it all working for you, make sure you post up pics (and vids!) for us back here!

The LM-2 plugs into the cig lighter socket. Unlike the LM-1, there is no 9V battery.

Ignition on but no sensors attached - the LM-2 powers up.

The first thing that hits you is that (in this unit's case at least) the display is skewed and not level. The first sign of a rushed job and lack of quality control!

Powered up again, this time with the sensor attachment connected (but no sensor as such):

With the sensor attached a large black band moves steadily from right to left. This is possibly the free air calibration.

I've located the User Manuals - you have to install LogWorks V3 and the manuals are a menu item.

    Cheers,

    Peter

The 9V is useless anyways, cant even download datalogging info without the 12v mains plugged in. The only use i can see for it is maybe some sort of memory saver incase of sudden shutdowns. I rarely use it.

    Looks the goods tho.

Anyone wanting to look over the User Manual can download a copy from here:

    http://www.dietstop.com.au/LM2_Manual.pdf

Its about 500K in pdf format.

    LogWorks3 CD, ZIP format, 10.2Mb

If you are an Innovate user and would like to upgrade to LogWorks3 (including all the available manuals), here it is:

Time for a massive thread dig!!

Well i just thought i would share some news with anyone in the market for a wideband oxygen sensor controller.....

Jaycar will soon be releasing a Wideband Oxygen sensor controller kit for around $70 retail. You just need to supply your own Bosch LSU4.2 sensor (7057 or 7200).
It's a relatively simple controller - with two outputs:
    - one to mimmic a narrowband sensor output
    - one with linear 0-5V output for 0.7-1.84 lambda
... unfortunately doesnt have RS232 connection.... but who cares for just $70!!!

We will also be doing a digital display for around $50.

So - get your sensor from WBo2 for $120, and you have a full sensor and controller for under $200!!

I will be personally using this kit on my 18R-GTE with Adaptronic ECU.

preliminary excerpt from the article on the kit:

Bargain! Any idea on how difficult they would be to put together? Expected release date?

September issue of Silicon Chip apparently. Hopefully will be stocking by October.

Doesnt look too hard to build either, well no harder than any other Jaycar kit really.

    Doh!
I probably would have bought this instead of the Innovate LC-1 kit
Oh well, the LC-1 is configurable, proven to be reliable & accurate and as serial out, so i dont feel too bad about spending the extra.
The Innovate kit was $370AU BTW bought from an Aus retailer on eBay.
