Wow there is a lot of clever thinking gone into that frankenstein Toyota 4 banger!

Sorry for the late reply the GTX 3071 spooled the same as the 2871. The 3071 came in a little later because the boost was higher (17psi 2871 24psi 3071)

CoronaGTTR - car is at the mech's now and apparently my alternator is fine, the belt was loose and so it wasn't turning the pulley well enough.

However my intercooler is full of oil because the turbo is dying/dead.
It's a CT20b and the rebuild gaskets and turbine from UK is around $400 + the price to rebuild.
All up it's going to cost $$$s.

t28 conversion (chinese t28, but measures same as t25 compressor haha).
Did this as was offered turbo dirt cheap. made conversion so can swap to genuine s14/s15 later. or back to ct20 if i had to.

oem 3tgte manifold w/ custom cnc adapter plate. 16mm thick, counter bored for cap screws.
Modified 12psi t3 wastegate actuator to suit re-clock of housings.
Custom 1/4" double flared oil feed line and 7/16"-24 reverse flare nut (brake fitting). tight space for oil feed due to turbine flange proximity.
Turbo core sits further rearward than ct20 which can cause oil drain clearance issues.
Modified 3tgt oil drain- cut/offset 40mm and lengthened near the block + drill out oil feed from flange and trim the end. had to section engine mount for clearance better option would be to make drain flange and custom angle on drain pipe?
Shortened/bent s14 water cooling pipes (banjo fittings on turbo). barb added to engine end.
Custom 3" dump pipe. In car pic. I tried S14 and R31 std dumpy but they hit ke70 chassis rail. Easy option is buy aftermarket sr20det dump and section/weld to correct the angle.
Custom compressor inlet and outlet adapters to fit oem 3tgt piping. could possibly use oem s14/s15 parts here?

China turbo died on first drive. unbalanced from manufacturer.
so bought pr r32/33 skyline gtr rb26dett t28's
Custom made 2bolt compressor outlet adapter plate to suit ct20 2bolt piping. (a 2L-T ct20 50mm outlet is easily mod'd to suit).
Machined china t28 .64A/R turbine housing to suit gtr t28 turbine wheel. (more tip clearance and bigger radius).
Cant use gtr turbine housing due to stud mounted. and it's puny- 0.48A/R, 2/3 inlet port size and 18mm wastegate. can't swap on a BB turbine housing. but early s14 turbine housing might work with these.

    GTR t28 specs:
    14411-05U20
    466071-1
    Compressor
    Inducer 42.5 (s15 = 46.5)
    Exducer 60.1
    A/R .42 (s15 = .60)
    Trim 50 (s15 = 60)
    Turbine
    Inducer 53
    Exducer 41.7
    A/R .48
    Trim 62
    turbine = ceramic.
    bearings = plain.

turbine a little hard to measure due to being 11 blade. trim was calculated from measurements.
gtr compressor housing is a t3 style two bolt inlet (same as s14/s15) and 2bolt outlet.

    ct20 (3tgte) wheel measurements:
    compressor
    In 36
    Ex 56.9
    Trim 40
    turbine
    In 59.8
    Ex 47.9
    Trim 64

    the mod'd gtr t28

    Metcap,

The runners are 1" nominal with an average ID of 28.5mm, Its perfectly sized to compliment the exhaust flow past the Exhaust valves without losing the Air speed when the gas gets to the runners. And like almost everything else, its for sale.

My ct20b is in but the drain isn't perfect. Turbo guy says to go high mount and t28. Which involves more stuffing around with dump, manifold etc. Looking for opinions and advice. Ct20b can be rebuilt but drain isn't in a great spot apparently.

Also ct20b needs rebuild as it blows smoke thus the advise to go to a different turbo. Only rebuild kits I have seen are on eBay uk
