Mulit layer steel head gaskets can be reused, I have done so in the past. If it all looks ok spray or coat with copper coat or holymer. I have heard of people reusing them 7 times.

Having said that if new ones where in abundance I would buy a new one each time too be sure, but as I have said I have reused MLS gaskets 3 times with no dramas.

I can give a little input on the MLS head gaskets. Make sure you comply with the manufacturers roughness specification or they wont seal.

I am not sure if this has been posted here yet. I just got off the phone from BRD Racing and they've told me that the high volume pumps that they advertise are no longer available

I had been chasing BRD for almost a month for a Cometic MLS head gasket for a 3T in 87mm bore, he can only get 89mm now he said.

So I got several from paradise instead.

Btw - getting several of the kameari timing chain upgrades and will post pics when it's on the car. Got that external upper timing chain tensioner, upper guide turned sprocket, etc.

Do you want to sell one of the ones that you got from Paradise? Do they suit the twin cam head?

yeah might sell one. They're a 3TC gasket which is the same as the 2TG i believe however missing the timing chain area in the gasket, as paradise do, they goo up that bit (low pressure).

Thanks but no. The twin cam ones are different; using the 3TC one and gooping up the timing cover is not how would handle it.

i'm not aware of anywhere that sells a 2TG MLS head gasket under 90mm (Kameari has a 90mm)

q - is that the stock cylinder size on the 2TG?

    Stock cylinder size is 85mm.
I am using 87mm; so this will have a 1.5mm rim all around it. This is not ideal for keeping the area purged of unburnt fuel. I've been thinking that it would be nice to get one of the nitrogen filled rings that are designed to fit inside it (idle dreaming).

Please let me know if that "idle dream" comes to fruition.

BTW, the heads-up on that oil pump is greatly appreciated.
Have you ordered stuff successfully from BRD before?

Agreed, was difficult to get replies from brd, paradise was much easier and quick to reply and I paid via credit card. Kameari however only accepts intl wire transfer, that has been an adventure
