the paint was super thin straight out of the tin, so gun metal didnt thin it out at all, just sprayed it straight on. coming close to a week now and the paint is still shiny as, it is very cold here atm but surely it would have set by now?? in any case, im getting used to the look now, and it's definately an improvement over what it was before
edit; rd's i might just do that once it's all done![]()

Grab a spray bottle and fill with a mixture of water and sugar soap. You will probably have to refill this at least a dozen times. You also need a bucket of water and sugar soap, and a good clean soft cloth ( I steal the best softest teatowel I can find.) You use the cloth to wipe off the sanding sludge. A soft rubber squeegie is used to push the water away from the area you have just worked, so you can assess the smoothness of the paintwork.
