    I too looked down this line for a bit of a fantasy what would be interesting. I did however pull out a tape measure on but the engine and the engine bay. My calculations (rough measurements) concluded that it would slide into the engine bay with maybe 1-2 cm clearence either side.

    However a good point brought up by may mate is the tricky position the starter motor is located. Unless you were planning on shifting the motor in the front half of the bay and the box in the other half I do believe you would have to chop your firewall. Not something you want to do simply to fit a stupid starter motor . You deffinately are better off putting a toyota engine in a toyota.

    As for only four "Old Schools" running in adelaide you'd be mistaken. You only need to visit the toyoshow when its next on too see our range of adelaide worked celica population. I assure you its well over 4 . Anyway like whats been said before you got the engine for free so capitolise on it. Its an opportunity to kick start your celca build, sell or trade it for your new toyota designed and built engine. Or at least a get a carton with the profit.
