hey guys I need to know if an RA60 hub will fit the RT132 strut. there are some sturts at the Upull it here but I already have RA60 hubs will these interchange? or do i need the RT132's hub? i read earlier hen used the RA60 hub on the XT130 strut so would this be a problem?

The hubs will physically fit, however I don't know if the hub's offset will be suitable. Normally when you buy a strut from a wrecker, the hub and brake assembly comes with?? With the possible exception of the callipers if they have been sold separately.

yeah usually i'd agree and should be the case. but for some reason they charge you extra for the hub as well here. which sucks cause i'm on a real tight budget this week and don't want to risk them not being there next week. however a change in offset would be good. the celica is crazy to find second hand rims for. a nicer user friendly offset might not be a bad thing

The change in offset won't be a friendly one, it will mean the disk won't sit in the right spot for the calliper, and will be a massif yo headache.

Is there another wrecker which would be worth going to??

ahhh i see. um not really without paying through the nose compared. the guys i used to work for deal with old school celica stuff and now aftermarket drift items/ upgrades so we have nothing outside those peramiters and i don't feel like paying upwards of $40 a strut especially when all i need is the empty strut itself and the hub.

$40 a strut isn't that terrible considering the importance of the item. Tell em the bearings and shocks are shagged or something for a discount.

I went down to pull them out today and was just gonna grin and bear it. But the guys doubled the quote on me cause I couldn't get the shocker out of both and a spring off one, also they charged seperate for the hubs. I'm looking at $39 per strut now and $13 per hub, so over $100 for the stuff I need. Grrr I need to get a better silver tounge.

On a side note there are some MX62 calipers down at the elizabeth Upull it in adelaide. if anyone here needs a set. dunno how much they charge but get onto it guys. if anyone interstate wants them i'd be happy to pick them up for them next time i'm down there for a fee. not much but to cover fuel costs ect

U-pull-it in Adelaide usually charge $22 per caliper. $44 for a pair of MX62's.

I now have a Corona/Celica/Cressida setup sitting in the shed, just need to get off my arse and order this coilover kit. Should pull the 38 up quite well.

Nah mate. Barely ever trek out to Elizabeth, Im about 15mins from Lonsdale.

I had some XT130 struts in the shed for a while. Went to Melbourne and picked up a pair that had been converted already about a month ago.
