    Cheers

well i've sent the PM.. so please ring me, as there may be info i need to add here for others..
Q:- part numbers for what..?? the coil, igniter, rotor, plugs, what..???
if i know i'll find this out & add to my thread..

But in short.. the igniter on the 1981 thru 1985, 21R & 22R motors only have 2 x wires in the single gray sheath... & the 1986, 22R has 4 x wires in the gray sheath to the dizzy....
You can only use the early type..

    cheers

one on the left came with a 22r and the one on the right came with my 18rg now im not sure which plug runs to the 22r dizzy i was assuming it was the long wire on the left coil but on the right hand coil that wire is cut short and the other wires are used for the dizzy plug.
not sure whats going on here im not great on auto electrics and seeing as i didnt see it setup beforehand it really isnt helping

lowlux. The wires cut short are the two for pickup in distributor i.e red and white wires. If you have distributor nearby look at plug on pickup you should be able to see colours of cables at back of plug. remember also pickup cables are usually sheilded to reduce interference.

scoured the wreckers today they only had one st141 and it had a 2sc but no coil all it had was the condensor so i need to know how the other wires are joined up and how they end up +ve -ve and tach as i wasnt lucky enough to that section of the harness
