i got the bill for the brackets today and while a little pricey you have to remember that they started off from 50mm steel so there was a lot of work involved. ill put pics up when they are all bolted up.
total machine work inc hubs discs and brackets came to $560 but whenyou think about it it will still be under 1k for the setup so its not bad.
pm me if your interested in a set.
please note these are for 23/28 struts and is the only big thing you will fit behind 15s for 1k, if you have 16s then i can put something else together for 2/3 the price.
cheers

ok lets see hat you can put together for 16's for 2/3 of the price,.... that i will be interested in,
what calipers are you making these kits work with?.....R32 or R33?
very interested linden!....the mx83 idea is dead!
have you got a 16" kit there already that i could have a looksy at?
blake
Linden, is that hubs, discs and caliper brackets for $560? Or have I jumped the gun there...
If that's correct, then add $250 for calipers and you have a very good brake upgrade for $810!
calipers $250 new rda slotteds $275 bendix ultimates $120ish new braided lines $250ishOriginally Posted by twentyEight
+ $560 for brackets and machining then your done. obviously if you use better discs and pads it will be more or if you use S/H stuff it will be cheaper.
but for around a grand it will stop like it hit a tree and do it consistently.

ill do the kit for the 16s next week as im flatout with cars atm.
well im deffinately hooked for a 16" kit, will they be designed to be used with the R33 caliper?
yep, that way if you wanted to fit r34 gtr brakes later on then it will bolt straight up.Originally Posted by IN 05 NT
i dont like mixing disc/caliper sets as it makes it a pain to upgrade later.

so it will use a r33 rotor aswell! nice, i'll grab a set of calipers today/tomoz
Very interesting, I'm in the process of sorting out some rt132 struts but after reading this I am very interested in the 16" kit. Awsome work investigating all this +rep point for you Linden. One question tho, will it pass an engineer OK?

considering that most of the cars i do are street cars then i have to make them legal (and i wouldnt like to think of the consequences if it wasnt)Originally Posted by celicaboy_2000
not so much investigative work more like customer gets what customer wants (so i had to do it ,not really optional)
the 16" wheel kit will be 29?mm r33 discs (30mm thick) and calipers from the same r33 but if you wanted to use r32gtr discs (32mm thick) and calipers then they will bolt on to the same brackets as would r34 brembos with matching discs and much bigger wheels. this is to suit the xt132 strut and hub.
i will also let you know how far the caliper sits out from the hubface and then this will let you know what wheel clearance you need.
cheers
linden
r33 is 296mm x 30mm i believe,.... would you happen to know the size of the brembo r34?
i'll have a search around...
i believe that there 324x30mm the same as the r33 brembos.Originally Posted by IN 05 NT
