Hit boost cut at 30psi and blew a headgasket. Boost isn't the limit, detonation is. I blew my last engine with only 16-18psi when i was running a rb25 turbo. It was obviously out of its efficiency and i've learnt more about tuning (but still learning).

Undapresha was running around 35-40psi in a stock engine with methanol and made a lot of passes before things cracked up.
Wow. 25 lbs on 3071R turbo stock pistons and block eh? That is impressive indeed. Thank you for the advice so far, I will be actively on the hunt for more knowledge.

    tell me.
Is it really a must, to use gasket glue on the timing case cover. When i've already put it on using gasket paper?
i was going to put the glue also, but couldn't find it, until i actually fitted the cover...then presto there it is. ;(
On gasket glue, do u guys recommend it for cork sump gaskets. I wasn't happy with the last cork gasket and glue combo, but will it be better without?

I put mine together without gasket glue once and it leaked, it's such a pain to pull the cover off again. Better off been safe than sorry.

I was hoping you wouldn't say that.
At least its only the timing case cover to re-do.

On mine I use permatex aviation gasket cement on all paper gaskets. Head gasket got hylomar all over, and a tiny dab of ultra blue on the corners where the block and timing cover meet. Sump gasket got ultra blue dabs where the block and timing cover/ rear main seal casing meet, plus a smear along both of those. It then got a full bead of ultra blue between the sump and the gasket, as the sump mating surface was pretty ratty.

I didn't use any on the half moons as mine were new, but have used it in the past when recycling old hard ones.

The cork gasket on the block breather got the aviation stuff too. That shit is the bomb!

The cork risks leaking at joints if they aren't machined well. My sump was pretty banged up on the flange, so if yours is good you should be able to get away without the goo

I use a light smear of toyota black seal packing on pretty much all gaskets, gives me extra peace of mind.

Well if we are comparing gasket glue the best is threebond.

I've got a blue gasket glue ATM. Not sure of the brand.
But the sump had to be hammered and flattened at each bolt hole, as it started to stretch and curve.
So the seal would've never been a solid flat seal.
One step forward, two step back with this engine...
    thanks for the Info.

Threebond is definately awesome. Been using that stuff for years and never had a single problem. And if coarse loctite aviation gasket is great too.
Looking for a new toy. If you have something 18r powered let me know.

Woah woah woah, you took a step forward with this engine? As in it's running correctly now?
