jayem, what car is that in and is that a 1ggze? looks like no gte ive seen before...
i think im gonna get mine done, as it is out of the car at the moment...

ok, im gonna run with the idea of getting it machined and see if anyone gets what im on about...
with the 1g in my ke70, when you jack the front end up and the wheels drop, the swaybar pivots upwards and hits the pulley, which gradually wears it away:

that was one after 10 years...so it doesnt happy in a hurry, but i still worry about it.
so, would it be possible to get the pulley machined down to a smaller diameter?
and would it cause any great problems doing this, like spinning water pump or alternator too fast?

tis just a thought. cheers, andrew

You might get away with TT132 (XT130?) swaybar. It doesn't curve front like KE70 sway bar does. Otherwise it's similar in measurements but 24mm thick. KE70 bar is 23mm.

Shouldnt be a problem, machine off and get balanced.

Machining the crank pulley to a smaller diameter will result in the ancillary equipment spinning slower. Whether thats too slow or not, Im not sure on the dynamics of your ancillaries.

I found a pic of KE70 sway bar. Here you can see the curve. Yeah it's otherwise similar. Both ends are in the same place compared to where the bush is. Only actual difference is that center part where's the curve in KE70 bar and the 1mm difference in thickness.

Yeah I'm from Finland. Here are some Corolla's for sale in Finland:
