P.S. pisstons is that what you do after a big night at the pub.
i have an ae 82 corolla. it has a healthy 4a-c in it. i am after a bit more grunt. i have a complete and usable 4a-fc head. is it worth it to bang it on ? a 100kw 4a-ge would be nice, but i am after a cheap power upgrade. i am assuming the fc makes more power than the c.

Yeah, pistons in a 4A-F are cut to suit 4 valves, your 4A's pistons are cut for two.
But anyway, 4A-C - 57kw 128Nm, 4A-FC - 67kw 135 Nm
17.5% more power, 5.5% more torque.
If you had the whole 4A-FC it might be worth it for a bit more grunt and novelty factor, but as far as head swaps go it wouldn't really be viable. Keep an eye ot for complete 4A-FCs, if I had one I'd probably give it away...
