You can get 12's out of a stock 1g with a cpu upgrade
And your bosses vl ma make 400hp but it will weigh about 500kg more so you should only need to make about 300hp to flog it

you dont need any more than 250rwkw in a celica

super t70 will push big numbers (270rwkw i think someone was getting on here) out of a 1g but lits of work to head and comp etc, a bit to laggy for me though

im going for a DISCO POTATO on my 1g for a really reliable and responsive ~240rwkw

why dont you want lag anyway?
If your planning on racing him on the street/circuit a turbo that gives you lotsa torque will should walk all over a car that makes big hp after 5000. If your racing on the strip then lag isnt an issue cause your going to be running an auto and you can stall it up(i know you can drag with a manual but its not as fast).
you cant be good at one without compromising the other, unless you spend stupid big bucks and a larger engine.

have a look on ebay, rhd japan carries a few bits n bobs. if you track down the 1ggte parts thread theres a link to a site that sells hks head gaskets. thats it, as far as this non japanese speaking person understands it.

theres a twin hks tdo4 turbo kit on ebay at the moment, not sure if its gone yet

I have one of these kits, the turbo's are still quite small. Not nearly capable of 300kw.

its been done... gt35r with a 1.06 rear, 10.7 second pass.... here in brisvegas. obviously it wasnt a case of just bolting a turbo on. my mate is selling it



but its ridiculously laggy but good fun when it spools... there would be many turbos out there better suited to the 1g and the power wanted, was just pointing out that this turbo has been proven to power it.
