I've just finished reading this thread looking for info on longer LCA's and shorter steering arms for my RA28 (has pub / lux brakes).

From what I have read XT130 LCA's fit AE86's so i'm having a guess that it will fit the RA28. Can anyone confirm that these are a direct fit and if they are indeed longer and if so by how much?

And I could not find any info on steering arms, does anyone know of a shorter steering arm that will fit? Just a bit shorter if possible.

Just in: While researching the availability of the incredibly expensive air filter for the 1990 series VZV21 Camry I found the following from WESFIL:
Type number WA826 a.k.a. A459 and the OEM # 17801-74020 also fits AE92 Twin Cam Corolla 1989 and Toyota RAV4 1993 on. And its about $20 not $60.
1968 RT40S Corona 1600S series II (restore in progress)
    1973 RT104-MQFG 012604 Corona GT JDM (Owned since 1976 242000 km)
    1989 ST185-BLMVZ-0007199 Celica GT4 JDM (unmolested classic 95000 km)
    2012 ZN-6 86GT (shed find 5000 km in 6 years)

So does this mean that they will have the right hole pattern for an RA28 which I think are the same as an AE86?
And will the ta22 or te71 steering arms bolt onto an RA28 strut leg?
And will it all go together with the same ball joint?
    Hello.

hmmm, RAV4's were released from April 1994, so I don't know where 1993 comes from and it's the same filter that fits into the Celica ST16x series, which also happens to be K&N panel filter part #33-2030.

willwal98: check yours is 85mm bolt spacing on the bottom of the strut. it seems celicas from A2 up to A4 (not A6# celica's which have the 90mm spacing), are 85mm.
2T powered corolla's from E3 up to E7 (te37/te51/te72 etc) and also ae85/6 have the 85mm spacing too and same ball joint seat.
te21/te27/te28 have 85mm as well but a smaller 12mm ball joint seat like the other E2's ie ke20/ke25/ke26. all the rest listed above i believe have the 14mm ball joint thread (probly best to confirm the ta22 one as it was a while ago i compared them but pretty sure they were 14mm).
also fyi, in the A6 celica range, it seems 4cyl like ta63/ra60 etc have the same size 14mm ball joint seat but 6cyl ie ma61 have a larger seat but still 14mm thread. (90mm bolt spacing tho).

oh ya i bought new 3tgte chain guides from toyota and they have 2tg 88220 part numbers

My k&n panel from the ST162 ('87) was about 20mm too long to fit into the Rav4s ('95) airbox. They might've changed the Rav airbox during the production run?

don't think so, last I checked the filter was for use on that sized airbox as a drop-in replacement for most Toyota's around that era (Camry, Celica, RAV4, etc.) just checked the rocketindustries website which lists the unit as being "Toyota/Lexus" (model indescriptive), but having said that, I know I've seen my old RAV4 comrades use this filter, so... most people now will go straight to a pod filter, just for the sound and foregoing a bit of fuel economy.

don't forget that the panel filter is designed to fit tightly into the lid of that box too.

Ebay 2WD and 4WD have incredibly cheap rotor/pad combos for $250 the whole car. They also stock filter kits for about $40 including oil, fuel and air. Do an ebay search for their website.

RAV4's were made in 93 in Japan and these filters come from the west which despite some eastern thinking has very progressive motor cars..

    um, ok?

ST184 and ST204 driveshafts are interchangable, but ST184's are slightly smaller in diametre and are a little weaker where the splines end.

MX73 throttle cable can be used in a FWD 3SGE Gen 3 conversion if you turn the bracket near the throttle upside down.

Clutch and brake pedal rubbers on KE70 fit TA23 also. Pretty sure they'd fit other models too like...

    TA22
    RA23
    RA28
    AE71
    AE86

Don't quote me on the other models, but I can assure you the KE70 rubbers fit TA23

ae92 series 2 and rounder type camry (93ish) have the same front quarter panel indicators as VP commodores/lexens. Handy if your chasing aftermarket crystal or clear indicators as there are plenty of commo parts around.
