cant remember if ive posted this but anyways
jdm st200 3sfe distributorless engine has a crank angle sensor on the crank's cam belt pulley. this pulley fits onto gen2 3sge that i've tried so far. may need to make a mount for it tho. could be used for aftermarket distributorless ignition on 3sge and 3sgte?

Thumbs up Re: Toyota's Interchangable Oddities.... (TIO#)

4age throttle bodies go on 4agze’s and are 5mm larger in diameter. Though I can’t comment on the hose’s that attach .
4agze throttle bodies have enough meat to be bored out 5mm .
2.2ltr turbo and non turbo Mazda MX6/626 have the same vane type airflow meter housing as the 3sgte’s. By swapping the circuit board, wiper arm and air temp sensor from a 4agze, you have either a cheaper replacement for a 3sgte, or a cheap upgrade (about 50% in surface area) for the 4agze ; .

    i presume that you mean a gen3 1ggte with 1s200 exhaust?
it wont happen, the heads are totally different between 1ggte and 1gfe, likewise block, pistons, crank and rods

celicapain, the altezza was the overseas version of the IS200. It came with a Gen 4 3SGE motor otherwise known as a BEAMS motor.

mikie is obviously interested in using the BEAMS extractors to shoehorn a Gen 3 3SGE into a RWD format.

Also, the 1G was available in the 1GGE non turbo format as a Gen 3. The IS200 of Aus, has the Gen 4 1G-FE.

As for the answer to your question... personally I dont know. Can you go to a parts supplier and find out the part number for the exhaust manifold gasket for each?? That should give you an indication, if not a definitive answer.

owen the local IS200's came with 1GFE's not 1GGE's

and the overseas IS200 with the beams 3S is an RS200 Altezza...not an IS

Yeah, I had a feeling it was the RS200... but Mikie never mentioned IS200.

And 1GFE... well thats just cause we get poo... not something I have put much time into researching, 6cyls just dont really do it for me.

EDIT: that makes celicapain's argument even less valid.

That was the only piece of info that I gave incorrectly. The bit where I said 1GGE, should have read 1G-FE. Sorry for any confusion it would have caused to anyone.

The RS200 Altezza is still the overseas version of the IS200.

    sorry my bad, i ment RS200 3sge extractors, to gen3 3sge.

    cheers mike

(edit: gen4+ intake and exhaust manifolds ARE NOT interchangable onto gen3 3sge)

Altezzas come with 3SGEs... IS200s come with 1GGEs... but IS200s werent Altezzas... RS200s were (as explained).

an MA70 fuel pump fits inside an RT142 tank as though it was made for it.
wonder if i just replaced like for like or if the MA70 pump does actually flow more.

(note this i assume means any fuel pump upgrade for an ma70 should equally be compatible then for an RT142).

does anyone know if the fuel lines for an RT142 are a direct replacement into an RA40 (woow talk about wishful thinking)?

They are close enough that you can bend em into place. Not perfect, but they do fit with some effort.

Thats interesting, as I have used an IS200 1GFE complete gasket kit to rebuild a 1G turbo engine before and all gaskets were the same, so too seals and stem seals. Do you have a link to any info that indicates what you've found??
