You will be able to bolt on the crownwheel and pinion to the hilux centre but the offset is different. You may be able to move everything across to give the correct backlash after you have made new spacers to adjust the backlash and preload . Then you have to hope your axles are the right length to lock into the centre. This is after you have ground down the shaft diameter to fit the smaller hole in the side of the housing. Let us know how you go.

1 prob you definately will have is that the irs centre has a groove cut in the female spline to fit the circlip on the irs shafts the live axle centres generally dont have this as the shafts are held in by the backing plate.

i hope im wrong but i have had some grief in the past

    cheers

Easiest way to go would be to get an open Cressida diff and lock it and put that in.

Default HELP!!! my new 5 stud rn85 axles dont fit in my g series diff!

im digging up this old thread because i have finally got around to getting some 2x4 RN85 5 stud axles to swap over from 6 stud

i was assured they are a direct swap but on measuring them the axles are about 10mm longer than the 4x4 6 stud one i have in the car now, ln106 i think?

    what do i do now???!

i wont be able to get a refund, but a store credit will be fine, what axles will swap?

CHOP 10mm off the axles. They is extra room on the inside of the spline anyway so I don't think it reduces the strength.
