ahh yeah - thats what I've been sayin!.. Hellooooo...
not 1 single entry recieved yet.
I don't think we can wait to the last minute. Like Motorvation this year, there are a lot of new clubs eager to get some show time. So really gotta get the ball rolling.

I think we just go with the construction garage/showroom theme, and if we change it later on.. then sue us!..

print off entry forms (link on first post) and start filling in your details!!

Ok so we need to sort these things out so we can fill out the entry form:

    Club Name: OST?
Additional Car Spaces: I might grab a extra one so I have room to move all my shit around if thats cool Damo!
Power: 3 phase or 15 amp? Only one person needs to put this down on there form, Damo thats you buddy your organising it but I can chip in for ya. Last year I only had 15amp and that seemed alright for what we had
Dyno: Yes I will certainly be doing this again, bring it on baby!!
Move In Time: Earlier is better I believe Ill have all friday off to set shit up, I say we try from 3pm minmum if other people cant get there till after then they can put down later move in times but I'm going for round 3ish ok?
Display Info: We just gunna put down Ghetto Workshop & Showroom? BLING BLING
Support Stff & Vehicles: I dont have any but we might need some hand depending on what we got to do!

    Autosalon Entry Form

Lets atleast get 6 cars in to save our club spot ay!!

Thanks for getting the ball rolling Wayno

    confirmed details ....

    Club Name: OST
Additional Car Spaces: I think we only need 1 each. But if Wayno has an extra one, then that will give us a little more room + room for DJ stuff etc.
Power: will just be 15amp. and I will put this on my application and do a bit of a collection from everyone.
Dyno: less people on the dyno the better, less chance of the set up being disrupted over the weekend. But I'll most likely have a crack at it.
Move In Time: 3pm.. most likely I'll get the day off work too. The more people with the day off the better. get in, set up, and get out.
    Display Info: Workshop & Showroom
Support Staff & Vehicles: we don't actually need any support cars in the convention center. Last year they let us drive up to the rear and load everything in. That was easy enough.

Please let me know as people send off their entries, so i know who I have to chase up and wot not..

Just a thought, may not be an issue or wot not, but with the club name Old Skool Toys, do you think they may look at it the wrong way, as in they arent really focussed on old stuff more new stuff or ricer stuff. I dunno the name kinda gives the impression its old skool, well cos it is. Ok just rambling now, is it something to consider or not? Obviously we will be advertised as OST once there anyway.

yeah, I suppose you could have a point there Matty.. especially if they go through some sort of selection process like at motorvation. We need to keep them guessing.

Fair enough.. every one enter as OST under car club.. Most people know the club by those initials anyways..

If thers not too many people going on the dyno this year perhaps I can place my car on the corner somewhere closest to the dyno so its easier for me to drive off and re park later!

Is the BEAMS going to be ready in the MISFIT? if so its gotta go on the dyno too they may say something being a older car but I say just tick the box anyway!

As far as I know they dont have a selection process like Motorvation but I guess it might be read wrong but I'm sure once they see the entry forms they will know its not OLD OLD skool so to speak!

Damo have you rang Autosalon about any of this yet? Just to make sure all of our cars are good to go!

What? They'd refuse a car just because it's old, even though it could be a monster on the dyno? That would be pretty stupid. I've seen some pretty high powered Old Skool cars around that would definitely warrant a dyno run.

Still, if so, it would be their loss!

Nup.. sorry mate, I've just had way too much on to get around to callin your girl at Autosalon.
I'm just going by our conversation at the drags.
We are looking good so far with only me, matty and loz the ones that fall out of the post-86 age bracket, so I think they shouldn't have a problem, cos we have majority of newer cars anyways..

    No worries Damo sounds good!

Gene they only have the post 86 rule because they dont want to flood there shows with older cars. I was told last time older cars have there own shows that relate to that audience and Autosalon has its own audience and they must cater for them. I guess thats why they allow a older car after you have your 6 so you dont tip the scales to far in the older car area. Its a fair call thou just not sure what will happen in like another 10 years time LOL

Ok Damo do we need some sort of meeting to get everyone together and discuss what happening and how we gunna organise this? I know there is like another 2 months or something but that will catch up fast ay! It did last year for us and it will this year!

BTW, I stil have that smoke machine I was gunna hook up to my pipes again! I also now have a Low Lying Fog Machine which is soo cool we gotta use it for atleast the showroom side if thats what were doing. The fog creeps along the ground and lights beneath it just light the whole place up its awesome ay!!

EDIT: Loz hope you can get that BEAMS love for the show we gotta go next to each other this time!! A Red Top and a Black Top would soooo cool!

It was a Celica club entry with a minimum of 6 pre 86 cars and thus allowed me to get a post 86 car in which was in show condition! They allow it just only in small numbers thats all.

However this year they are clamping down on stockish cars hence the mod list you need to provide now but they also have opened up new arenas such as classic legends which allows the few older cars that are there to get trophys BUT thats only a eastern states thing apprently and wont be coming to perth... naturally!

Ok next big topic we need to sort out Ground Floor Covering!!

Whatever the theme, whatever the club or car you MUST have some sort of floor! Showroom idea is fairly easy but what about workshop? We all know the bext floor for a workshop is the concrete in the convention centre but we are not allowed to use that so aside from black plastic whos got ideas how we can cover it?
