Yeah i got way too much to do i know, but seeing though chris cant afford his bill now, i thought i'd just put his car aside for a few months to give him a chance to save up and do the painting instead

Umm might can the painting idea for now, Chris i'l give ya a price on it later when i decide to do it again.

    Yay for autosalon

well, just over a month till show time.. time to start throwing in some nitty gritty details - like who's bringing what - and who's willing to contribute some extra $$ to make our display stand out a bit more.

should also start with what we actually already have, so we aren't doubling up on stuff..
Wayno - what have you got from last year we can use?

Yeah its gunna catch up real quick for us now! haha

From last year we didnt really have much in the 1st place haha so yea only really got the spotlights we used. The ropelight died (people walking on no doubt haha) and the black plastic was all bin'd. So yeah not much mate!

Now we need to answer these questions in this order:

    1) What do we need (specific) to pull it off?

    2) Who can provide what from this list?

If we answer that I reckon we got a good chance! Your entry forms shold have arrived there by the end of this week so I shall ring my lil lady friend and get the lowdown alight!

yeah i guess any sort of lights are good depending on use. Ive got a couple of fire lights I'm using on mine this year so those floodlights we can use around the place and under cars.

I'm bringing my own black car ramps so I can ramp my back end in the air hehe and Ill no doubt bring that bluey cloth I had last year to go around the outside and over the ramps so it looks all neat and tidy. I figured my car is still 'under construction' or in the workshop as I dont think I'm going to have time to get the interior finish there just not enuff time dammit so Ill try and bring a few extra things to make it look workshopish.

Was going to put my spare wheel and helmet out again so I guess if other people have tires (coff33 I'm sure u must have some drift ones ripped to sh!t right) then Id say bring em! Anyone else ramping their car or atleast want to jack up one side and take a tyre off to show there big ass brakes and coilovers hehe I dont have any of that yet!

Anyone got any work cloths/blankets we can use to throw around panels of the engine bays thats kind of workshop related! Any chance we can get a host in there and host someones motor up out of the car (something easy enuff to drop back in later guess, who putting there hand for this hehe) Actually about the drop sheets perhaps we can use this along with the black plastic for our ground covering and before the event is it possible to stain it with spalshes of oil? Would look pretty cool for a ground covering I reckon so longs its dry by the time we use them haha

We could use empty tool boxes (I might have one before the event, been meaning to buy one) and just place a couple of super cheap ass tools around to make it look half decent. Can we get a madican (or a real person even Tiang?) to wear overalls and shove them on a wheelie tray (or whatever there called I know I got one) and wedge them under the engine of someones car. Which we can later to use crush there head with the crown! haha

A idea I had as my interior is not going to be finished it gut them interior, place a fire light in the car, add some smoke, firey bits to make it look like the inside of the car is on fire (I'm igniting my engine bay anyway) and dress up a half man with my helmet and a skull inside make it look like its just come back to the pits and the car is wasted!! Which bring me to another point workshop wise we can take ideas from the track/pitstop scene as some of our cars have seen the track either alreayd or later down the track. Can we get grid ladies???

Matty you were saying you had a spare engine thats dressed the part the 7M I think it was any chance any at all we can get it into the show?? It would be awesome you know it would! Perhaps if we get a work bench or table and we could lay some wiring diagrams out, I have heaps of 3SGE ones! haha A couch is also still a good idea I reckon if we can get one there. Good for us to relax on beenin on your feet all day u need it and looks the part with some car mags on the couch.

i know what about if I bring my TV or LCD and we could hook up some car videos or drift video seein we have a drift car in the show and that will attract people, we should be able to cover all this in our power right? Anyone know someone that has a truck we might need to borrow one! haha What if we had a troophy stand coz I have a trophy to show hehehe ok ok going a bit to far Ill just put my trophy to one side. What else we got oil drums? again if we can get one there which we seem to be hearing alot lately hmmmm.

I know how awesome would it be if we had our very own DYNO!! Thats awesome, what a idea sometimes I out do myself! Ok well just thought Id brain storm some idea after getting home from work. Maybe after that dyno idea I should sleep on it all and try again later.

    Hope that helps!!

You may be better using a projector rather than a TV to show video's / pics?

Just hook a laptop up to it!

The problem with a projector is that it gets washed out by the convention centre lights I see it done every year! Second you need either a screen or be close enough to a convention centre wall. The only way a projector is going to work really well is if you know someones higher up that can get the lights switched off which I'm all for if you can do it of course!

A TV/LCD as I was saying it just more workshopish as you dsont see workshop with projectors in there shops so keeping theme wise thats the way to do it.

Wayno.. lucky we know Alise and she is trying to help us out.
I told her that we would like a block type display, and possibly near a wall..
so we may be able to set up a projector. a projector would be smaller and easier to get in than a big plasma screen. but if you are happy to take your plasma, we might keep that as backup plan in case we don't get a wall space or something..

there's been suggestions of another AutoSalon meeting to discuss who is bringing what etc.. so we'll sort that out in the near future. Stay tuned to your PM inbox

    interesting..
but none the less - I think we should be prepared on the assumption that the event goes ahead.
