Default OST display @ AutoSalon 2007

    AutoSalon car show
Perth Convention Centre (same as last year)
    21 - 22 July 2007

Most of your are aware of the national car show by now, so I don't think I need to explain what its all about.
For those that are noobs: www.autosalon.org

Just trying to gauge some interest after the success of Motorvation as to wether there will be interest in showing off your rides at AutoSalon ??

I'm happy to organise it if we can get the numbers.

We need at least 6 post 1986 vehicles to enter as a club. Thereafter, Autosalon officials will let us enter pre-86 vehicles as demonstrated with [MISFIT] at AutoSalon 06.

Cost to enter your car for the weekend is $80.oo, which obviously includes your entry into the venue and involvement for the entire weekend.
You can review/download entry form here: 2007 Entry Form

Entries have to be organised by End of June 2007.
As with Motorvation, pictures of your cars are to be supplied with your application so they can judge if you are worthy.

I know we got some nice rides out there.. time to show them off!

I'm sick of seeing cars that have had $150,000 spent on them - lets show them what can be done with some care and on a sensible budget!

    Cheers

yo. of course i'll be in. got some enemies that normally attend (TI) so will be great to stick it to them.
might be pending an engine tho. depending on what happens with sam. I might be short one 3SGTE.. which probably voids my entry. but if all gets done, hrrm 400+hp camry on the rollers...hahaha. with WTFauto and bling garage stickers that should pump that figure up 15%. lol.

I do have it it just needs some special care and attention paid to it(tristan and matty). and I was going to use the money from sam to pay for some of the work. she seems to think there may be a better engine to put in her camry, for same or less money (she's crazy).

Maybe in a future year when the SPIDA's had it's extreme make-over - well, not that extreme.

Gene - you've done some good work to the SPIDA that I appreciate.. unfortunately a lot of the folk going there only appreciate the cosmetic mods..
Hope you can join us when SPIDA has a respray

I'm also wondering if my paint work will be good enough for show .. its starting to show its age

If I'm not there this year, hopefully next year.

well we got 9 people interested so far.. that should be enough for a decent display..
might have to start kickin people in the backside and organise entries now..

    Hey Guys..

thanks for the info from Wayno .. as long as we enter everyone as a crew, we are good to enter the pre-86 cars.
Looks like its all go ahead.. Just gotta get everyone to organise their entries now

    and a theme ...?

    Farm animals were mentioned.
neg... won't see me out there cleaning the horse manure

Midgets ... Thanks for the suggestion Lauren, but they are hard to get at this time of year

Me in a purple Barney suit..?? Thanks Az..
Whilst I would pull more chicks than I currently do.. its not much of a theme for the rest of the crew to join in with.

    Now to some serious ideas...
I like Loz idea she spat out one time about a ghetto garage theme. While she may have been joking, I think we can make it work.
We could wear overall's.. have a couple of cars jacked up, wheels off, axle stands. Maybe a 44 gallon drum or two. The Bling Garage engine crane in the corner.
Maybe a manican crushed under the rear end of Matty's crown
Toyota man in the other corner..

    Comments on that?

Would be good to enter my car someday, the majority of the inside is finished but a few spots in my paint need to be redone and my engine bay is pretty bad to me, maybe next year i'll have the chrome trimming back on and ready to go
