first topic should still be.. Has anyone else handed in their entry forms???
    Wayno did his online

I think Matty & Loz have completed theirs
    I did mine tonight.

I only got 13 modification points.. not sure how good that is?.. I think Wayno would be pretty high.
Not sure if the are expecting a certain level of mods or not?

Chris you may need to add more neons or fully sick sound system to enter the soarer..

Deano - have you completed your form?

coFF33 - are you still entering??

Yeah nah I faxed mine off so I'm all sweet Damo!

Yeah not sure why they want to know mods this year it might not be to judge entries but so they know how much work is done to the car before the show so they know to look at it more closely or not eh i dunno we'll see I guess! I SCORED 34!!! Hmmm maybe I should upgrade my brakes too and take a chunk out of my chassis! LOL!

Hey guys im a little concerned that me damo and lauren wont actually get the chance to enter our cars at all. The only definate's i can see so far are Wayno, Dean and Chris.
We need at least 6 cars post 86 before the 3 of us can enter our pre 86 cars.

Can we get a show of hands for those who are definatly going to enter their post 86 model cars?
Also i think we have to get together to discuss just a few things, mainly who is actually going to enter and what cars your entering. A couple of us are doing major work in a hurry to ensure our cars will be ready, but if we arent going to enter then its all rushed for nothing.
I propose a meetup of all the proposed entrants sometime soon.....maybe a friday or sat evening/night next week???
    Wot you guys think??

86-90 aint a big age bracket for an "old skool toys" club.

doubt you'll get many more interested

Yeah atleast one meet up is definately needed, Friday or Saturday evening are good with me, cant do Sundays thou.

If we cant get any more cars we should open the bracket a little more for the event make a up name 'Just Toys' or something like that so we can get others in and then come the day we can still promote OST as there will be Old Skool Toys there representing. Damo I know OST is your baby and u wanna enter as a club but maybe we should think about how we approach this show so everyone gets a crack at it. By using a different name to enter 'under' it means the others wont be there for OST and just supporting so to speak and the original rules can still apply.

Have a think and worst comes to worst we should consider it as a group at the next meet!

I know im not entering the event but I think Wayno has a good point. I think maybe you guys should just enter as a "toyota car club" so you can get the numbers up then maybe on the display you could split the cars in to "old skool" and they rest . At least this would sill get a bit of coverage for OST but also include others to get a good group of cars.

You probably do need to open it up a bit if it's focused on later model cars.

My 74 TA22 or 2004 Subaru Outback probably wouldn't make the cut, so can't help re: numbers.

Ok heres an idea to help things along, only a suggestion and fair enough if it sounds bias, however it will keep in theme with auto salon.
How about we enter as "The Bling Garage" for two reasons, one is autosalon will love that shit, also our theme is Garage so that fits too.
We could all go in under the bling garage, then the old skool cars like me loz and damo and whoever else rock up can sorta go under the OST banner.

    What you guys think??

hmm.. Yeah, that can work.. I think Matty has had his hands on most of the cars in the display.. so Bling Garage is an appropriate group name.
and if we open it up then might be able to pull a few more cars in.

I'll hassle a few more of these people who originally chirped up and see if they are still keen to enter.

    Post 86 definates so far:
    - Wayno . 93 Celica
    - Dean . 91 Camry
    - Chris . 90 Soarer
    - Neil . 88 Cordia

only need a couple more definates and then the group can expand to include
    - Damo . 83 Supra
    - Matty . 84 Crown
    - Lauren . 77 Celica

The maybe list that I'll be hassling is:
    - Tristan . 91 4stair Supra
    - John (coFF33) . Soarer
    - Sam . Camry

If all those enter - it will be a pretty impressive display.

im a yes. i just havent got all my shit together yet to enter the Soarer... :d

EDIT - damo not one damn neon is going near my car i do not care what the autosalon jizzrags think, but i will not demean the griffin badge by girly'ing up a weapon

sound system might be on the cards though.. will have to have a play around with the boot and see what i can do. i'll have to work out how to get those 6x9's into my rear parcel shelf though once you put them back in my boot ay

i'll see if i can boot mount a 4 channel amp and 2 12's. might size it up for a custom enclosure.. u never know. not much i cant do with a jigsaw, sandpaper, pva, dowels and a drill.

The biggest prob of using the "Bling Garage" title is none (except wayno's, and MISFIT) of our cars are bling. it's more like "Bunky, held together by cable ties and Clag glue, Garage".
Bling means shiny and "off tha chain", our cars don't really give off that impression.
My engine bay looks like spaghetti of wires and crap going everywhere. damo's running PVC, matty's needs a good going over with 2pac (like the rapper) paint.

This is an "A-Grade" event. Show and shine only. It's being judged on how much money you spent rather than what you spent it on. Hell I'll put money that matty's car will own over 75% of the cars in their.
Can we organise a meeting of potential autosaloners so we can talk and discuss a few major points. maybe sometime this week after work.
