FWIW - I run the LS1 Coils, 1uz, Haltech Sprint 500 (less than $1k), 7m-gte injectors, 1uz auto and GT4094 with 10psi boost at the moment.

I'm a big thumbs up for the Haltechs.

I should have no problems running a q45 on a 1uz with an aftermarket ecu right
With an Aftermarket ECU the Q45 will be fine provided you run MAP.

I don't use Knock Control, I don't know whether they do, my assumption is that they do. I have seen the wires for knock sensors on the looms.

I haven't had any problems with idle, infact I don't even use an idle speed controller for mine and it idles fine. Starts first turn too. TBH It's uncanny how easily the thing runs, I almost think i've done something wrong!

Probably don't need to bump the adaptronic more than I have, but it does have closed loop idle control, knock control, ignition, fuelling and boost...

The model that mullett has (e420c) has been superseded by the e420d, which is 990 + loom. There's a model a little above that, 440 select at 1399, which has a little more inputs and launch control/flex fuel. Then there's the e1280 at 2k. This will allow full sequential operation of the engine along with a whole bunch more extra input/outputs. You used to be able to the e420c's in group buys for less than the retail price.

Do you plan on logging/displaying/warning function for say, oil pressure, fuel pressure, suspension travel, tire temps, acceleration and brake force sensors? The e1280 and V88 both have a lot of extra analogue inputs that you probably won't use.

The e420d (or V44, sprint 500) will probably suit your car fine unless you really want seq. injector and ignition operation.

Like JP said, the tuner's going to prefer the product they're the happiest with. The V88 is a good unit but I'm cheap and wouldn't pay that much for an ECU so I run a megasquirt which does everything I want and more.
It all depends on what you want out of the ecu and how much you want to pay for it.

well jpc still hasn't got back to me with the pricing for the vipec yet but adam from mms said he can get me a adaptronic on the cheep that will do everything i want it to so see what he comes up with for me

all i want it to do is have knock control for safety sake
use map sensors and air temp separate coils etc
give a good tune and just be able to jump in and thrash it with out any hick ups

adam recons there a pretty sweet unit for the money and seeing as he uses one on his own 1uz and a few on hear like them shouldn't be to bad at all

    did you phone JPC?

I'd expect a V88 to be around $2400, V44 around $1700. Both with 2m loom, air temp and coolant sensors. V44 has an onboard map sensor, need an external map sensor with the V88

you can use any map sensor you want, I'm using a ST215 3sgte sensor on my 2J as it reads to 22psi.

Just had a good read on the Adaptronic website
it seem the new models have built in map sensor witch is a huge plus for me
also the other feature are on par with other brands
they realy are a cool unit
and for $990 and $1300 for the flagship model can't go wrong

just hope my tunner has the software to tune it

It's 990 for the base model, 1399 for the next one up and 1990 for the flagship.
