no not relly. primary length is a fixed number - then it becomes a packaging issue. 4-2-1 is an attempt to reduce interference from whacko firing orders the v8 gets per bank in a 4-1 collector (the poor mans 180deg header) - not sure of the real word benefit of 4-2-1 vs 4-1, its certainly debatable

perhaps my pic above is a misleading angle? theyre not THAT long. 33-35" overall primary length. some swear by the magic number 32", i calculated a bit longer, rms' engine is longer still. i think the 33-35" range is about spot on

    mos? sleeping i suspect

    Where: Rockhampton.
    Clutch ordered: no.
Those Cobra headers are what both you and I should have (and maybe the rest of the car too).

It's going to be hot enough under the floor without pointing those things straight through the firewall. Ready to wire this weekend?

Need GT40 + flat plane crank and 180deg headers
    YelloRolla's KE20 1/4mi = 11.32 @ 119mph @ 22psi on slicks
    12.44 @ 113 mph on 165 wide street tyres
210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.

So um Mos....what do you reckon are the chances of you wanting to do another engine conversion.. possibly a non vvti with any compatiable manual box (maybe a R154?) into an auto is200? Any chance or are you already running in the other direction?

hehehe, mos wont even finish is own car off let alone doing another for somebody else.
its not an overly difficult job but it is very fiddly and i doubt it could be done for under 10k if done properly.

    cheers

Not deburring every hole that was also drilled to a cad drawn template to matching chamfer angles.

just jamming the ecu under the dash behind the original so it looks std.

I'm running the other way, but just out of curiosity, what would you expect to spend? I'd need a lot of persuading...

    YellowIS,

Mos has enough unfinished wiring jobs to keep him busy well into retirement
