I agree completely. I only bothered to point out about the Toymods server as its a bit of a pet hate of mine.Originally Posted by 7MA61

Thank god for this rule...... I HATE signature pics with a passion.
Advertising in signatures is also frowned apon

I think if a set font size was chosen and it only took up one line we should be allowed to do it without it clogging up the forums. Or is it a 100% no no?Originally Posted by Lambolica

correct, which is why advertising in signatures is not condoned.
also it's worth noting that signatures should be no bigger/longer than 5 lines of normal font size, which gets stretched a lot by people using quote boxes in their signatures - again taking some of the focus away from the content of the posts made.
...... butt scratcher?!
Even though it's not part of the rules, colour in sigs also irks me since it draws the eye away from the post as well.![]()

I just PM those with oversized pics and ask them to reduce them to be fair.. if they are a smart arse, or refuse, then I disable their Sig Pic rights
The advantage that Toymods has in that regards is that we have never had them in previous forums, so people had nothing to complain about.
In general people will have a cry if you take away their dummies.
I note also that you arn't using the rep system? What is the reasoning behind that out of curiosity?

This seems to be completely ignored by a lot of people, in fact there is one on this page.Originally Posted by The Witzl
Hi,
Yes, the 5-line sig limit is often ignored, and when you give them a friendly PM some of them get very catty. I think a bit of rep slapping is the only way some people learn things around here - which is sad.

PS: I may add "Now Targeting: Signatures greater than 5 lines". Sort of like OC is targeting crap threads and see what happens. Maybe it's time to go on a sig-cleanup rampage.![]()
