not if you screw it from the back...

what self tapers from the back with the extra cut off?
self tappers (or something similar) the right length to start with wouldn't hurt

How you mount it exactly will depend on car and particular lip.
But in any case you want to try and have a captive fixture.... So if you can, mount with washers and secure nuts.
If anything is visible, use stainless for aesthetics.
(And the smallest size fixtures that will hold it all together.)

A70 supras have a metal strip in the bottom of the bumper, bolts go through this and out the bottom, and the strip then slides onto these bolts with nuts inside the backspace of the lip to hold it on, you cant see any of the fittings.

6mm dome cap screws will do you just fine.

I agree that some decent washers or a strip of metal behind the bolts and nuts is the better way to go. You dont want the screwing pulling through the fibreglass and the lip coming loose on the highway in traffic at 100kmhr.![]()

Yeah sorry it an AE86,
The lip overlaps the front bumper covering the original bottom lip, I have tried to see what other people have done from photos on the web but I cant see any srews to secure it
Needs more pics![]()
