It showed the construction of the engine mounts, pics and all. Made a plate and gusset to mount to the original rubber mounts if i recall (mags are at home). The whole intention was to swap to a standard 2JZ and then use it as a tech article for some power ups, thats why he is only saying its up to phase one.

That datalogger/steering wheel is the UOW FSAE Car from last year or the year before if I'm not mistaken?

Yeah, from the UoW car (i was a team member last year - taking a break for work this year). It appeared in the 2003 car and has gone through some upgrades, so was also on the 04 and 05 car. It is really just a display, the M800 is used for datalogging. But it does get the data from the M800 to display. Here is a pic of the iteration used in the 05 car, along with a nice shot of the rear end (sorry if i seem to be hijacking your thread Grant)

Fire extingusher was compulsory to be around the car at all times. You also needed to make a moving devide (couldt just push the car directly) so it was convenient to mount it there.

We do have some technology. Also, the reason the number 1 on the side is because UoW won in 2004, they have also won 2002 and was the first non-US team to win in the states (congrats to RMIT for doing so well this year!).

Also, if you notice two stickers on the 'supa scoop', Garrett and Motec, there are Ohlin shocks, all are among the top of their field. And many would argue Motec being the best in the business. And if you wana see how hard we run the motor, just look at my avatar.

    ECU is Haltech E11 v2.

So does the Haltech provide pulse to the VVT solenoid and depending engine conditions or just switches it on at a certain rpm?

You've only got two choices for that at the moment - Motec M4/6/800 or Autronic SM4 (that right?) for VVT-i control.
There's others on the way though - I know an Adaptronic has been made to run a gen five 3SGE VVT-i for example.
