Does anyone kno the track of a ft86 could be similar not cheap tho
Indeed track isn't much chop without offset, however going further offset can help. +50 offset isn't out of the question, and although it isn't conducive to good dish, it could make for a better range of available IRS setups.
Be that as it may, a T series is a poor idea if you are going to that much effort, so that scraps the ST185 possibility. Need to keep looking for different options. Maybe there are some euro options in the little Beamer/Merc ranges? Parts would be import only, but cheaply available from their home countries. PCD could end up a bit odd though.

The 86 is wide as. It has a huge track on it (1540mm rear), with +48 offset rims from factory, so no where near unfortunately (seriously, when parking it feels like you are driving a camry due to how wide the car is!)

Tx3 turbo track is supposedly 1435mm to centre of tyres with +10 offset Lil bit wider could be worth a look in

Time to dig up this thread as I know that the S13 IRS has recently been put into an RA2# Celica, but I had an interesting thought on this conversion.
If you use an R160 IRS diff cradle from the Datsun P510 (1600) you can run the stronger longnose R200 diff (240z, etc) and keep the total hub to hub width to that of the P510 which is 1355mm. There is plenty of info out there on running the longnose R200 diff in the P510 and conversion kits using a custom moustache brace are available for less than $200, like this: http://www.datsport.com/Datsun_510_1600_diff_brace.html
Another option with the P510 diff is that the WRX also runs the Hitachi R160 diff and the diff can be made to fit the P510 cradle with some work.
There are also ready made, and cost effective, rear disc conversions for R32/R33 rear disc brakes to suit the P510 also.
This works well for me as my current Commodore diff is 1350mm and I wish to keep it close to this so that I can run some nice wheels on the back.
What is the hub to hub measurement of the S13 R200 diff?

Stock s13 1510 hub to hub
Ouch. That is wide. Looks like the P510 setup could be a goer then. Now to measure all the mounting points to see if it's possible.
A mate that is running a WRX R160 in his P510 said "go with the R180 as there are more parts available for them and a bit cheaper. There is a heap of conversion parts out of the states which will convert the half shafts to CVs which are a lot stronger . Wolf Creek Racing is one that has CVs and adaptors for R180 for 510s."
R200 are common too the r230 not so much
Half shafts are my last hurdle need to get one shortened by 100mm
These do look the goods for using with an R180 or R200 diff in the P510 cradle: http://www.wolfcreekracing.com/index...d=72&Itemid=61
At $900 it is far cheaper than the $1900 that Maddat wants for their kit.

Wonder if they do them in custom lengths
Can't hurt to ask, even if it costs you slightly more being custom it'll be a good outcome.
Sounds like like an interesting option using a 1600 IRS. Seems to be enough support out there for it.
Too late for me no way im doing it all again woulda been nice to have it that extra 2 inches narrower though
