They fit the corona/celica strut tube, they are also very short and adjustable if you get them in the agx series from kyb.

Theres alot of good info in this thread on how to do it what to get, have a thorough read and you should have a good idea of what to do/what fits what and the like.

    Cheers Mike

this is what im using. you can get them from dasport here in sa and they have been engineered and certified. i had to get a small spacer machined up to centre my konis in the sperical bearing but im willing to take mine apart to show if anyone is serious about buying a pare.

Also for those wanting to use the mazda 4 spot, check my thread as I got it all to work with standard ra28 struts, factory caliper bracket. Just had to weld in some blocks of metal inside the bracket and tap it. So easy...

cost me $550 + $100 for the alloy inserts. they are made for kyb inserts, so they would slot straight in.

Would that method of modifying the standard caliper bracket be illegal unless engineered Joel?

Am contemplating slotting a set of XT130 struts in my KE35 race car.

Anyone got a suggestion on what the best order of pulling it all apart is?

I am sure I can get them out, but some feedback on the best order, any tips and tricks, would be much appreciated

Crack the gland nut before applying the spring compressors. Less chance of the shock just spinning.

Thanks that helped! Next question. I think the Hilux caliper will be overkill for my little Corolla, however it does open the options up with regards to brake pad choice.

Does any one know whether there is decent pads available for the Corona 2 pot caliper or would I have to get something custom made?

    Hi All,

i know that there are a few of you out there now that will have done this upgrade and i'm hunting down some information. Primarily i'm wanting to know what brake pads people used and what strut inserts people used, how much they cost (approx) and how they've fared over the past year or three. I'm interested in the brake pads that were used on the same sized piston hilux caliper.

Hilux caliper is similar pad shape to WRX/S15 Silvia so I think you have loads of options.

2 different Hilux calipers, and they run different pads to each other...

One takes the Silvia (S14/S15) / Skyline (R32/R33) Pad, and the other takes the RX7 (FC?) Pad...

    Hi,

Do you know which caliper takes which pad? Pretty sure the same size piston takes the wrx/s15 pad - please confirm?

The different sized piston caliper takes the RX7 S4 pad.
