    Dong,

You will have to take the wagon for a squirt at the board meeting next Tuesday. It has no dead spot that I notice other than the typical Toyota lack of Low RPM power. ?

Could I tag along aswell? Keen to see how another 2J goes, I still need to have a ride in Waynes, good to do some comparisons....

Like I've said earlier I have no noticeable deadspot whilst driving, but it does certainly get very lively around 5500+ RPM

The report form the Dong at the October Board meeting ........ No Dead spot.

Does anyone have the Cam specs for the Supra 2JZ-GE as opposed to the Soarer 2JZ-GE ?

Soarers have 2JZ-GE's??? I thought they were 1J or 1UZ. The IS300 certainly had them, but, hmmm...

Sorry not sure of the specs, need to wander by Waynes and go for a hoon sometime and see just how much faster his car goes

Hmm. Actually I've noticed this. It only happens some times, usually when taking off from a low RPM rolling start, however, if I'm already in the high range (say between 3500-4000rpm) it accelerates quite hard, and there's not torque cut off. Low RPM acceleration does it. (below 3000 rpm). Will have to actually fix my water cooling issue and give this a go.

This is my latest graph that still has a slight dip that has moved from 4500 rpm up to about 4700 rpm, looking back at previous graphs with an OEM intake the dip is still there.

Wayne! I must know what you have done to get such an increase!?! Looking great, hoping to see you and the beast at the dyno day

James, I had the headers redone and used the tune agent JZA80 ones as a guide, a more generic design. Getting past the steering rack is the big problem, if that wasn't there you would probably pick up a few kW more. Looking foreward to seeing you at the Dyno Day, hope you get to run this time

My dyno graph feels inadequate just prooving you can extract an awful lot from the 2JZ-GE without opening it up.

    Wayne,

Would you be interested in sharing what pipe sizes and lengths you used on this set of headers, They sure have open up the top end with no Dyno measurable drop in low RPM power. I'd be very interested to know what size primary and secondary's you used and if you kept the factory poprt pairing. ie 1-2-3 and 4-5-6. ?

I gotta get stuck back into my wagon. First on the list is a 4.3 diff centre tho as the current one whines ike a mongrel

    Nathan,

You have nothing to worry about compared to my result mate.

Looking foward to this dyno day with new O2 sensors has to make some difference or other.

Plus I'll be running the 1994 2JZ-GE ECU I bought off ebay(for $50 ) ages back when I thought the ECU was at fault(which turned out to be 02 sensors). I can't be arsed putting the one from my 9/96 back in as I figure they are the same, cause the part numbers are the same. My last best effort was with the '96 ECU....

Lets hope no pesky high powered 1UZ's turn up!
