And give the bolt a few good bashes with a hammer first. Much easier to get it undone.

Never rounded a bolt with my Kincrome sockets... and Ive had to hang poles off the breaker bar. Buy good tools and you wont have these problems, unless the bolt has had a problem previously. And yes, Ive removed a reasonable few drain/fill plugs from boxes and diffs with the set I currently have.

wd40 on birdshit and/or bug bits on your paint

also for those who have a short attention span wd40 also attracts the fishies so next time your out in the boat spray your bait with it

How can spraying bait with WD40 be illegal?? Its not like your throwing a stick of TNT into the pond

    Seconded.
Have yet to round a single bolt with my Kincrome set. Including diff/gearbox plugs.

Polluting the waterways, like pouring motor oil or fuel in, but on a smaller scale. Heck if it works, I'd do it too, not like you are putting a whole lot on

Gut them before it soaks in Not like it takes hours to pull in a fish (unlike a marlin... which you cant eat anyway) and you should bleed and gut them straight away anyways... good berley

I would like them to show me the proof of the 'pollution' from a bit of WD40... the PPM concentration in the water surrounding it would be so minute it would be immesurable. Besides, you can just say you were preventing the hooks from corroding

Yeah theres no oil/petrol in the ocean apart from every boat that releases it through the exhaust.

New tip: When fabricating caliper brackets or brake setups make sure you have new pads and discs at standard thickness when fabricating upgrades up.

If you ever snap a gear linkage a length of fencing wire in some pvc pipe will let you change gears till you can get a new linkage. Might come in handy...

Lightbulb Re: The Tips and Tricks thread

Found another use for the automotive carpet Bunnings sell. It is quite a bit thicker than sub box carpet, and has a "short nap". I was about to reassemble some TA22 Celica door cards, and rear quater cards. The rear card inner belt moulding with the furry edges were totally stuffed. The hairy crap just fell off in my hands.

The structure of the belt, and the chrome/stainless were still in good nick, so I trimmed off all the remnants of the fur with the trusty stanly knike, and used some contact adhesive, to bond some of the Bunning's carpet to the belt body. Waited 45 minutes, and trimmed the excess off.

Looks good, fits, and will do an admirable job of acting as an an anti rattle device, the intended purpose of the belt.

    cheers Chuck.

For TA22 Celica owners, who are having trouble finding heater hoses I have a solution.

This should work for stock 2T, and re engined TA22's. My trial of this was a 4A-GE.

The AE92 heater pipe firewall grommet will fit the TA22 firewall with a bit of effort. No mods required. Pick them up at wreckers, free or a couple of dollars, probably still availbale from Toyota brand spanking new.

The AE92 uses pipes not hoses, a little different to the TA22's. So find a couple of pieces of brass heater pipe, straight or 90deg bend dependent on your engine. Pick up 4 hose clamps, and some generic heater hoses of suitable length. (there is a very very long commodore hose readily available) Cut the pipe to suit and connect these to the heater tap/core with some of your rubber hose, and connect your engine hoses at the other side of the firewall after fitting the AE92 grommet. Job done.

    Hope this helps, cheers Chuck.
