Forgot to add... dizzy bearing is 6200 - about $3.![]()
Great guide.![]()
I just had to do the same job on the JDM 86kw 4a-ge I just put in my ae86. Was pouring oil over the extractors and smoking something bad.![]()
Got the seals before I started the job thanks to your info.
Don't force it... use a larger hammer.
If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway.

Henk
finally got around to doing this...
big port no need to remove the sensors the shafts slips out past them.
Here are the parts I used, as per the guide on my site:
* Plain encased seal, 10x20x7TC. Part no: TC12379VI from CBC bearings. This is the high temp 'Viton' version, it's a reddish colour.
* Rubber O-ring. Part no: BS217 from CBC Bearings, or part no: 9009914091 from Toyota if you want to pay double for the same part....
Will cost about $15 all up.
if you ever buy anything from K-Box http://www.kbox.ca/catalog/ it's well worth getting the dizzy seal kit from them. It's a complete kit with all seals and o-rings and even the bearing.
due to the shipping cost it may not be worth buying it alone (though K-Box are quite good with postage costs) but when thrown into a larger buy it's well worth it.
Glad I found this. I replaced the oil seal on my dizzy and it's still leaking, obviously this second seal is the reason!
Can anyone confirm that the seal is the same on the 100kw and the AE82 dizzy?

Yep, it's the same for all 4A engines.
Sweet. I just went up to CBC and grabbed one. Four bucks.
Now I've just gotta figure out how to pull the carnt apart.

You southside Brisbane? I can do the swap if you can leave it with me for the day. We got a press and parts cleaner etc at work.
That would be fucking awesome. I'll send you a PM.

Great info Talasas!
Does anyone have a part number for the bearing?
Good. Fast. Cheap.
Pick 2.
Yep.
6200.2RSR
Thanks Terra. Going to take a crack at this tomorrow.

Is that bearing number the CBC part number? or the Manufacturer number?
Just go into any decent parts store and ask for a 6200 bearing, they will know what you mean.
