    Default W58 leaking

Hey guys ive recently changed my clutch setup in my car ae86 , Ive put it all back together and have came across a oil leak problem. Ive got oil all on my clutch fork , boot and it leaks out onto the bellhousing from the window.

It seems to be my gearbox oil leaking but from where and how is it getting up to the boot area ?

Ive never seen this before so if anyone could help thank you , worried its going to get onto my new clutch and start slipping

    Cheers Reece

Front gearbox seal / front bearing retainer cover leaking?

Sounds like a pull the gearbox job regardless.

    Cheers

Sounds like the input shaft seal or the retainer gasket as Wilbo said. Box out.

IF you are sure it is gearbox oil, then it must be the front seal really..

Otherwise it could be your rear main leaking onto the flywheel and flicking it up into the bellhousing...
but yeah, you can usually tell the difference between to two oils...

As above, you would need to take the box out and have a look...
It sounds like a bad leak, and you don't wanna run that sh1t dry....

tap a breather into the top of the gearbox mate the box is probably pressurising.

All the W boxes I have seen would breathe an ample amount through the shifter pivot, it's not sealed at all, just baffled to prevent oil coming out.
