No, i'm pretty sure the heavier 1G powered car had the higher MPH at the top of the track. The fact that I launch like a girl is irrelevant.

How hard is what to fit? Given your M-series car, the 7M is the easiest swap. If you find a 1G front sump and GA61/GZ10 mounts the 1G will be the next easiest and the JZ and UZ will both be the hardest, mainly from the complications or $ involved in having manual versions.

get some bonyville (SP?) engine mounts (about $300 worth) and a 1 or 2J, i'm in the process (when I can get the cash together) of putting in an atmo 2J into my GZ10... cheap enough to pick up an atmo 2J out of someones barge it's to heavy for (JZA80 or JZZ31 owners ), and makes a decent amount of power in a relatively light car like the early soarer is. Really depends though....

a 7M will be relatively cheap, but then you'll blow a head gasket, and you'll be back to stage 1 with a $1000 hole in your pocket. ontop of that, if you're gonna swap out you may as well put something more modern in

I think the best way to do it will be to build up and boost the engine while its outa the car so i can keep driving it then when its ready drop it in and crank some really power right off the first key turn

Just go for an N/A 7M. You'll still have more power than the good old M-TEU
