Quote based on the custom order form (I asked for a lot of non-standard 18RG features) was $657 US

    Options:
Tool steel pins (over 20# boost): Add $51
TOTAL SEAL gapless top ring set: Add $118
    Coating, ceramic crown: Add $104
    Coating, Moly skirt: Add $104.

Shipping USPS Express is $53 ($25 discount for August).

He could also supply a PAUTER custom forged connecting rod set for $792.

My piston orders very very specific and so required more custom dimensions that if you just asked for a set of 18RG STD crown -92mm bore pistons.
(Arias pistons have a sample 18RG piston and all the geometry for remaking them)

The best way to get an accurate price is to contact Nick Arias.

I bought the last set when the Aussie dollar was in the < 0.90USD range)

The venoila pistons are oversized to 92mm? Can't remember now. They bore out to 2.2L the other pistons are only there because it is the only photo I had of the venolias before they went into the block. I think I got the venolias from cyberauto. Had to order by phone which was fun. I think when I got them they were about US$500 which meant they cost less shipped to my door than the oversized forged pistons I had made by specialty pistons.

So people where do we get the 92.5-93 mm head gaskets these days?
I am seriously considering doing this mod in the new year because I have to rebuild my 18rg.

Well you just missed one for sale in the USA E-Bay for $170.00 US. plus shipping (eBay item number: 121521865919) In case you wanted to keep track of it in case it gets re-listed. Best bet is looking at http://www.kameariengineworks.co.jp/ The parts are still being sold for this modification if your pockets are deep enough and you are really up for the challenge!

Just remember that the bigger you bore the closer you get to the water jacket. This Head gasket should be good enough if your going for that maximum 2.4 or 2.6 Build like it back in the old days also published in some of the 1981 and 1982 Carboy magazines. But that is old science, Looking forward to your build thread.

Cometic do one in a 92mm bore. They list it for an 18r but the style is for the 18rg.

    I assembled a 2.2L 18R-G this year but did something different gasket-wise.

My pistons have some clearance below the deck of the block (around the perimeter of the cylinder) which allows me to use a standard head gasket (91 or 91.5mm bore, can't really remember) without any interference. I've had the block o-ringed so it shouldn't have any issues with the high compression either.
This method requires a head gasket that has ROUND bores, e.g. KP gaskets available from Sleeka Spares (website or ebay) and through http://www.mdsperformance.com.au/
