Don't weld the LSD in the car. Sell the hemisphere to me for $200 plus postage. Go to the wrecker and buy an F series diff spider gear for $30. Have it welded for $30. Profit $140. We will all then be real happy.

thanks for pointing out my mistake wilbo
i read the ma70 bit wrong.
you can shim it sooo tight that it virtually becomes a locker, because the plates are jammed together.
You want to shim it if possible, because i've always thought that the shafts get a little less of a hard time if you don't run a locker. A working properly working lsd should lock up the diff every time you want.
Lockers are only good for 4wds, and 4wds suck
/me runs

The spanner in my avatar is actually a 16mm, that's why it's still new

best way mate![]()
i have always used lockers, tried running LSD's... they are great for the first few times out on the track then they go off and just dont hook up without another rebuild![]()
likes of a torsen might be ok
contrary to common belief a locker will drastically REDUCE oversteer and give you so much bite off a corner its quite glorious![]()
the best way to make a locker is to get it cast with alloy NOT welded ... indestructable!!!
i used to have a sidline casting centres for people if anybody wants one done let me know
cost a couple hundred bucks but have never in 15 years seen one fail!
ps can cast LSD's too but better to start with an open centre
lol but you would use what on the street?![]()
i found when i had the locker in the 23, it would tend to push understeer alot more then try and push oversteer....Originally Posted by 1jzracing

blake
i find the rolla has alot more drive out of corners, tends to understeer less imo.
