Pretty sure you have an E series diff from factory.

Pretty sure nothing will bolt straight in to replace it (other than another E series ).

I can't think of any Toyota 4 stud options that would be an upgrade without changing stud pattern...?

So Hilux diffs are an option for you, and the old Volvo diff is prbly worth a look also...

    My translation is the following,

    Trim: FZ41
    Gearbox: A40 (3 Spd Auto)
    Diff: E313 (3.909 ratio, 2 Pinion LSD <see here>)
    Colour: A23

Going off the plate you should have an LSD already (I've never actually seen anything with an E series LSD!). That said the diff could have been replaced over the years with an open centre...might be worth looking into

Ok cool thats interesting it has a
lsd so would that be strong enough to handle
The 1jz or should i do a bit of research into the
    Volvo diff.
Or should i just change all bushes and rubbers
    And try it

The E diff is 7.1" crownwheel, with some slight mods, an F series 7.5" housing could be fitted from an old MA47 or easier one from and Corona MK11. Then it's a step up to Hilux with 8" LSD but has 5 studs and gives you more choices in rims.

I'd expect pretty well any diff upgrade will require you to cut off your existing diff mounts and weld them to the new diff. So if you put new bushes in, you get to take these with you if you upgrade the diff.

I'd spend the time to find out if you actually have an LSD, and if it's working then see how long it lasts I say!

FYI MA4x (MA45, MA47, etc) are super rare, and the diffs are super popular, so you would be very lucky to find a diff from one! (Same goes for Corona MKII) in my experience...

Front upgrade is a whole new thread...(search MA61 5 stud if you want, 99% sure MX32 has the same stub axle... hint MS65 hubs are an option...)

Or you could just bolt in MX83 front end and get 5 stud bigger brakes and everything.
I have two sets of coilovers AE86 and MX73 on my X3 so there is lots of options out there for upgrades and conversions as such.

I used AE86 whiteline adjustable arms for my MX32 i wonder if someone may have an already converted E7/E8 diff you could buy that maybe would bolt on?

Ok i can get hole car of that type to use front end
So would the diff be 1400 wide and have the
2 upper control and 2 bottem control with panard rod
If so that would be a better way
Iv been on this build for 3 yrs just have not much time
