Have you fit it yet?
I've bought probably 4 or 5 of these in the past few years, and none of them have been like the one I just bought.
It does not sit up against the pins. I was unable to insert the shifter correctly with the bush unmodified, and even with the shifter forced down hard I was unable to select any gears.
Ground the bush thinner and now its perfect.
Tight shifter with no slop.

Something wierd is going on here Scooby
But as I said, mine was all black (previous ones have been green), so maybe either they have replaced the green one with a new bush, or I was given the wrong part (can't find the paperwork that came with it to check part number, but I ordered the correct one)

But the bush i fitted the other day is very diff' to the one in my XX..as it is White Nylon & pins go through the upper 1/2 of it...

The price of many Toyota parts comes down to the old "wholesale sales tax" pre GST.. this old tax was added every year.....Originally Posted by CrUZida
So a part that cost $15.oo in '80 has tax added every year till date sold.. eg. same part sold '95 = $50.oo aprox...
With GST $15.oo + 10% = $16.5o This tax is added at time of sale..

Forget getting them new.Originally Posted by GA61XX
The only way to get a decent set of these is via ebay. I got some from Canada (they don't have as much sun up there as we do!!).
