Well, if you have managed to get it wired, do you mind posting a picture up of it. If you used a harness, mind showing me which one you bought?

My Hilux uses the same plugs for the stereo as the Cressida did and the adapter I bought for the Hilux fitted ok . Maybe you should have bought the adapter for later model Toyota

Managed to wire it up using the wires that go into the amp. Did a bit more digging up but I found a thread on here that references the closed down toyotacressida.net which had all the codes and stuff.

So it's all done now. Thanks for the help!
