well as it happens... it wasn't a 'turn left anytime with care' sign... it was a green arrow...

    i'm car A... he was car B...

there was NO " U-turn permitted" sign for me... however, i'd only just turned left out of a street that had "no right turn" so in order for me to be heading the way i wanted (down in the pic) i had to do a U-Turn, or drive a few K's until i found somewhere i could turn around.. remember this is beaudesert Rd in brisbane... at peak hr..

yeah I think you might be at fault on that one. Was there a sign saying "No U-turn permited"? If there was nothing to specify you can't do it you might be ok. I guess it depends where the damage on the cars is, if yours is further back than his you might get out of it.

We can't do a U-turn at traffic lights in SA.. well not legally! I always see people from the eastern states doing them in the city here, despite the big signs saying not to

BL mate - hope things work out!

there was no sign in reguards to U-turns at all...

a mate of mine said to forget everything except the fact i was travelling forward, and he came from the turn off and ran into my arse..

Thats what I'd be thinking too, willwal.. but there may be a technicality since it's a U turn at traffic lights?

    Rad, where on Beaudesert Rd?

In the interest of trying not to come out at fault. Tell it like your mate says - he hit you from behind.

I think its probly your fault tho, coz my understanding is your cant do a U turn at a "built up intersection" unless it is signed to say that you can. Pretty spastic light coordination otherwise. But i agree with what your saying bout the road setup. Its shit and im sure a U turn like yours gets done 100 times a day there because of it.

X marks the spot, blue is him, green is me... doesn't make any difference, but you'll notice i came from a 'left turn only' corner... so a U-Turn seemed quite logical...

well anyway, now that i've hijacked my own thread and given myself -rep... back to the original topic... i WENT to pull the turbos off today, and found that i'd left a nut off the rear turbo manifold, and hadn't tightened the bolt off the dump to the exhaust... so fixed those up, put her back to gether, and nothing... still got the stupid noise... and only 5psi boost...

no camels in the inlet... would have been an easy fix... but alas.. nothing that simple

not sure about the O2 sensor... really don't think i've damaged that, wuold expect it to run rough more consistantly if that was the case... will rip the turbos off one day, the take my time putting it all back together... make sure it's done right...
