I'm concentrating on completing this series first, before getting into the details of the next one. And how exotic the future is depends on how well supported this event is. Numbers are yet to get to the desired level for this event at the moment, and it does affect what we take on. So, get your entries in if you want things to grow/expand.

I also need to ensure any changes to make the second series better are put in place before getting too committed as well. For example assessing how well results were calculated.

Yes, without further assistance in organising things, we are likely to space events out slightly to 6-8 weeks between events as 4 weeks doesn't leave 1 person a lot of time to turn things around between events.

In terms of venues, we're welcome to suggestions and, if it works, we can look at including other venues or running other (separate to the series) events elsewhere. However, there is a lot involved in switching amongst venues that needs to be remembered such as:
    • New venues may require additional AASA approval to be used under our AASA permits
    • Some venues, such as Barbagallo Raceway operate under CAMS, where AASA licenses won't be accepted
    • Likewise, faster courses are classed as Speed Events and may require higher levels of license and permit costs
    • Car equipment can also be more extensive for faster events
    • I believe we may not be able to run timing gear at RAC, which could make inclusion in a series difficult
    • Availability and Cost of venue, and effect on entry costs

We can participate in other AASA events fairly easily, and we still have ideas of some joint events with other car clubs, etc. However, there are more complications when going down that path, and running our timing gear, etc. may not be possible.

I think venues such as Barbagallo or RAC would need to be looked at separately to the actual TECCWA Red Mist series events.

    Regards

    Damn Pete, What a pain!

    Seriously
pop seals, go to 'State Wide Bearings'
Was like 5 bux a seal for mine last time, they will match any seal.
Usually have stock too, cant recommend enough.

N yes, will be there with Supra powars, 'SILBUNKY' may be a little different too

Will try to rope in a mate with an FC RX7 too.

Bevan and I are in for this one again I'll see how many more I can rope in. AM session, as usual.

In regards to other venues: I have a vote in for where we are. It's a fair drive from home, but it's a nicer track than RAC in a lot of ways, and they're not as retentive about stuff. It's also cheaper and more relaxed.

I agree with Gene: keep other circuit stuff separate to the main red mist series...more racing for all of us! Maybe next year we should get a bit of a teccwa team together; for the guys who are a bit more serious about it, and try to attend events together as a team (looking at you Phil!)

Ok seals are in, as are spare stub axles. Oil even seems to be staying in diff as well
See you there for AM session.
Google docs is being painful again re scrutineering form and wants me to log in. Any chance of an email .pdf?

    Default Bollocks.

Hmm looks like it will be touch-and-go whether I can make this, havnt got the box out of the track car yet and I'm laid up in bed with a busted back (well not really broken but... hurt it enough that I won't be crawling under any cars until it gets better...)

Can't really take the daily as its developed a misfire, unless the new set of leads I ordered arrive in time (and fix the problem)

And I ain't taking Chewie the Shitwagon again!

A reminder to anyone entered, but not paid as yet. Today is likely to be the last day that electronic transfers will appear in the bank account.

So, if you aren't arranging the transfer today, you'll need to bring payment on the day as no record of payment will mean no entry.

The other priority is Entry Forms or at least confirmation of your intent to enter with AM/PM session stated. Other paperwork, not done in advance can be done on the day, but introduces more to do and slows us getting started.

    Hey Gene,

As I said when I texted today, I'm in Burgundy MX83 in AM session. I'll get all the paperwork to you tonight. One quick question though, does all the paperwork just get sent to the motorsport@teccwa email? I have event entry, AASA, and teccwa membership paperwork...
