Oh don't get me started on that. Already had a small argument with a guy at the VWGolf forums about buying a GTI over a Golf R. Something along the lines of 'I don't know why people get GTIs anymore now that the R is out' and me mentioning that they cost SIGNIFICANTLY MORE. Totally different attitudes over there. Left him to keyboard warrior it up while most of the others just quoted me and +1'd.

That said... they are very very quick. 12's with a tune and nothing else and all the same fancy pants electronic handling stuff as the GTI.

Bastard! Mine failed me at the last minute Bloody compressor. I was THIS CLOSE. Might try and get it ready in time for the khana Comfort skidz FTW!

Also: No electronic goodies for me. I think I'm lucky to have power steering

Edit: golf R only 10k more than a normal GTi? Bloody heavy though! I'd rather have an evo

Not as heavy as you think, they're both about the same weight. Evo has a MUCH fancier suspension and 4wd setup then the golf though.

Lots of spare spots left regardless, please remember if you are paying online to complete your transaction by close of business tomorrow to ensure we can correlate payments to people's names - it got a tad difficult to justify everyone last month with late payments (ie, paying online the morning of the event is not acceptable ).

LOL show you how it's done? I'm average at best, but I like to think what I lack in talent i make up for in enthusiasm.

Unfortunately I have to work to be able to play, and i can't escape it this time. Hopefully I can get some setup tweaks done in the meantime so it's ready when I am.

Well still no LSD yet for me, so I should be good for some more number 1's.
