    Default wiring probles with ma70

Hey guys i started looking into wiring up my swap aristo 2jz into ma70 89+ model.

After extending some wires in the engine bay i noticed i had a -88 model C1 plug near my fuse box. and then when inspecting the body plugs under the glove box i found the plugs dont seem to match the pictures from supraNL guide http://www.supras.nl/index.php?optio...d=34&Itemid=50
Nothing seems chopped or dodgy. all seems like factory wiring.

From what ive looked at it seems i have 2 of the B2 plugs, one early and one late. Its racking my brain. Can anyone help please. Pics of my bodyplugs below.

What looks to be early model B1 plug

And the two plugs that seem to be early and late model B2 plugs.

just get a multimeter and probe where all the wires go

print out ll the diagrams u have and sit down and go thru them once u probe them all
its not hard just very very time consuming

1st picture middle row big thick wires 1 (probably black/white stripe) starter signal from ignition barrel
    other 1 black/organge ignition power

the aristo loom should have similar wires for the starter and ignition power for injectors/coils/ignitor
join together and the car in theory should start... (but use the above technique to clarify what goes to what...)

the rectangle grey plug has things like reverse lights and feeds to the dash for gauges etc...
    tacho is black/silver band

reverse lights are red with something
water temp gauge is a yellow with blue or green band i believe

It's not a 5 minute job so u should at least try start doing wiring than ask for small bits of help when u get stuck
To get someone so explain how to wire it start to finish would take weeks on here
I could sit on phone for two days with u and tell u if u want to pay for it heheheh

Just start probing he wires and do the easy ones
As u slowly get thru it there is less wires so it doesn't look as bad then
Or send us both your looms and I'll sort it for u

Cheers for the advice guys. I'll give it a shot with the multimeter and diagrams I've got. For right now all I want to do is start it up.

to get it to fire it should be pretty straight forward...

the 2 thick wires in the plug in the 1st pic are the key...

corresponding pins should be on the orange plug in the aristo loom from memory

The neutral start bridge is pretty basic...all of 10 mins to bridge. Given yours is manual and no cruise, simple bridge for neutral start switch will be fine

Just thought id post up. Could never find an exact pinout for the bottom grey plug, but by using the wire colours I have the car running now and most of the gauges working. Cheers for your help guys.

New issue. Cars been running for a while fine but just after getting off the dyno the other night i closed the glovebox and then something went wrong. The ECU wouldn't recognise the new map sensor and the thermofan and the fuel pump both stay on even after taking the keys out of the ignition.

The thermofan is wired into the ignition off B1 plug and the fuel pump is fed off the COR.
When i pull either the efi fuse or relay they will stop. And then putting the fuse/relay back in they wont be on.

Ive searched around the glovebox area for a short and cleaned up all the wiring around that area but i cant find anything. Any ideas?

u might have a bad earth due to poor wiring
and this might be causing thermo fan to stay on which creates electricity and keeps rest of system on
