Tried a new relay? Its not a relay getting stuck on?

I think what you have is a short (either a dodgy joint/insulation, or you have inadvertently wired something across these two circuits) between an EFI relay switched live feed (ie the feed that supplies power from the EFI relay) and the EFI trigger feed (the feed that turns the EFI relay on). Probably either on or near the B1 plug. This would explain why the EFI relay is activated after the key is turned off, and why pulling either the relay or fuse rectifys the issue...

I got a job on in the morning, but happy to come lend a hand after that if you like...(and can bring a spare EFI relay, COR etc with me )

I have found continuity between pin 1 and pin 4 on the pins that the efi relay go into. Im trying to find diagrams of where these two pins go into the cabin so i can find where the short is.

Just two go into the cabin...
Wires on the EFI relay are as follows:
Black with yellow trace: 12v feed from EFI 15A fuse (all in engine bay)
White with black trace: earth for relay trigger (also in engine bay)
Black with orange trace: Ignition switched live for trigger (this goes into the cabin, B1 plug, and is most likely wired to M-Rel on the ECU)
Black with red trace: 12 supply from EFI relay. This goes to COR, ECU, and others...through B1 plug.

Turns out something internally in the PowerFC has bridged. Looks like ill have to try and find a place to repair it.

maybe the mrel wire has issues
u could put a relay on it instead of ecu controlling it
u just wont have the idle motor reset eaxh time u turn car off

Yeah i was thinking about this to just get by but ive had the tune done with the 3bar map sensor and adapter harness which isnt being read now. Would rather get it fixed than risk blowing the motor
