slowly hacking away at the fitup of the 1ggte in my rt104 sedan but im curious about something im sure the 1g guru's are familliar with which is the thermostat housing.
im currently using the standard radiator as it just fits in front of the motor and its basically the only one i can get to fit i just need a different thermo housing current problem:
next concern is the harmonic balancer seeing as im not using ac or ps i dont need the extra front pulley and this one is in questionable shape anyway is there a way to get a one without the extra pulley or is it not worth worrying about
current arrangement:
obviously i cant get a thermo fan in between the motor or radiator so i guess im looking for a fan to mount in front of the radiator that pushes the air through rather than pulling it back out the front of the car.
currently i cant fit the stock turbo setup due to the steering box fouling on the manifold and the steering box is pretty sloppy anyway so im concidering a rack and pinion setup. the crossmember is fairly flimsy as its just a pressed steel brace for the lower control arms so attaching a steering rack doesnt look like an easy feat unless its boxed and made a bit beefier to support a rack and then theres the steering collumn too i may have to change it over to fit the new rack.
also looking at coilovers for the front and a g series hilux diff with cressi lsd.
sound like im on the right track here?
thanks in advance

Some assembly required
did some digging and finally came up with a solution for the front.
xt130 corona's have the same size radiator but the outlets are the opposite to the rt104 which is what i need.
harmo can be machined down by ross tuffbond then the radiator can move back a bit.
reversable davies craig fan will fit up front of the radiator with the radiator spaced back therell be enough room to hopefully fit an intercooler in front of all that.
