Al, Rolla has put it as blunt as you can get. He's right mate, you need to look at the bigger picture. If you listened to every bit of advice on the internet it will end up costing you more than just biting the bullet and paying a qualified mechanic to do it for you. You don't need to find a 7M specific mechanic, just a compitent one.
If you go stuffing around fixing banjo bolts that may or may not be leaking, cam seals that have no effect on the engine smoke, then find out your engine is blown, you're down time and money that could have been spent elsewhere.

once again nothing wrong with a 7M that has been built properly and hardness tested(this is a MUST) as to many heads have been over heated and people trying to crack eggs and mystical magic liquieds to try and stop the BHG lol once I get my own place ill be buying a 7M to work on and that will be the replacement for my 1J when it carks it!! big single front facing intake manifold with 1J style cam covers
