Did that, well kinda. Just undid the banjo on top of the fuel filter and hit the key, squirty squirty happened.
you could be more ghetto than that, take the hose off before it gets to the rail on the supply side and point it at a bucket, then hit the key. That will tell you roughly how much enthusiasm the pumps got lol

should still start with a fuel pressure reg thats faulty.. or at least cough and splutter, saying it squirts is not enough... 30psi of fuel pressure if fairly gushing out, you tried checking the injectors with a noid light see if the injector drivers are working in the ecu?
could give it a sniff of aerostart or brake cleaner and she runs for a bit. Will confirm the ignition side of things is fine.

It was a steady flow (squirt) out of the banjo (which ill reiterate was only undone a couple of turns).
Some start ya bastard could be an idea.
Ill borrow the gauge off the 205 and get a fitting made up off the CSI line and test the fuel pressure.
there's not something stuck down the fuel rail? (variation on the rags/paper/shit stuck in the intercooler that trips up people sometimes)
I couldnt see anything in there when I had it off (of course you cant see DOWN it only though the injector holes etc)
give it a sniffy sniff

Havnt got there yet, its not easy because for a person who is currently unemployed im often busyplus the car is like half an hour away, but ive now finished the R32 that ive been working on, so thats a bonus.
I'll be over that side of the river today so ill pick up the CSI line to get a banjo with hose tail so i can connect the 205's fuel pressure gauge through the week.
Ok so we chucked the fuel pressure gauge from the 205 on it.
Base fuel pressure is 3 bar...a bit much i say.
Going off that 1 bar = 14.50326 psi, that means you have 43.50978 psi of fuel pressure.
If I recall correctly, acceptable limits for the FE are the same as the GE, between 32 - 38 psi. So you are 5 psi up from stock.
I would change the FPR for a test, do you have another camry or aftermarket FPR laying around?
I heard around 2 bar stock pressure, but either way its too much. I dont have a spare one but we are currently looking for one, so if anyone has one kicking around they would like to offload send me or Ms55 a PM.
It would still start if it was a bit high though. does it even kick at all or just winds and winds?

I would swap the FPR. Could have collapsed inside and formed a blockage.
What about the damper? Does your car have one of those damper things to absorb the pulsing from the pump to ensure even flow through the injectors? I have heard of those collapsing inside and causing problems. If it in on the inlet side of the fuel rail, that could be your problem?
