Default SuperPro Bush install - xA6x IRS Swing Arms

Has anyone installed the above bushes?

I just went to put my swingarms back on the crossmember, and 2 of the crush tubes are too long.

Where the 'inner' goes is 70mm, and the 'outer' is 65mm according to my measurements.
But all 4 tubes you get with the kit are 70mm.

I'm going to ring up about this tomorrow, but in the meantime, any one know?

Ok, obviously no one knows this, or knows anyone who does.

I'm giving SuperPro a call in the morning.

Here are some pics for those who have NFI what I'm talking about.

Dunno if i can help you now - but i will have a look at the RA65 rear end and the MA61 rear end i have lying around and measure those up as well.

I don't suppose you could just cut 'em up to fit?

id say maybe you got a dud batch or something... any chance you crossmember is bent or damaged???

give superpro a ring or email allong with those pics, see what they say... got me concerned too now... might have to check out mine next weekend

Just got off the phone from SuperPro.
The guy seems to think that they should only have the 'Inner' bushes in the photo, and not the 'Outer' (the catalogue states 'Inner', not 'Inner and Outer'

He's fwd'd the pics to the R&D department, see what they say about it.

For the moment he suggests to cut/trim the bushes/tubes up, make them fit.
Guess I'll be doing that tonight.

Yeah i measured 'em up this morning, 'outer' ones were 60mm as expected. Guess you'll have to resort to the ol' "Make the f***ers fit" technique.

Let us know how it goes!

Just got a call from the R&D guy.
"The kit was made for a Celica, and it fits a Celica."

He is under the impression that the kit has fit many celica's in the past.

RWDboy, from your last post am I to assume you measured your outer crossmember thingo, and got 65mm like I did?
Or is the celica actually 70mm?
    You have RA65?

I'll call him back tomorrow with the results.

I just measured the diffs from an RA63 Celica (jap import 18RGEU/W55/F292) and a TA63 Carina (jap import 3T-GTEU/W55/F292) and both have approx 70mm for inner AND outer bushings.

Hmm, interesting. Would explain why SuperPro have never had a complaint.

Anyone else care to verify this?

WDE_BDY, can you let me know the build dates of those cars?

Both were around 82-83 from memory, can't be more specific sorry as the donor cars got chopped up after I pinched the bits I needed.

Thats cool, just checked those sites and realised the RA63 ceased production before my Soarer was even built.

So its back to a Supra/Soarer vs a Celica thing.

    Very strange indeed.

I measured the outer ones on an MA61 and they were 65mm (sorry wrong number quoted before).

I'll double check the ones on my RA65 tomorrow morning!
