Raw phone footage from Sunday, 2nd course

Also got some bumper cam and some behind-the-seats-so-you-can-see-the-driver-stressing cam, so when I get a chance I'll splice them together and make something prettier.

Edit: In other news, my friend who came to watch thinks he left his camera bag there, camera wasn't in it but it did have memory cards, cables, spare batteries for his video camera. Last place I saw him with it was on the hill spectating but he did wander all over

Did anyone spot it? Pretty plain, black rectangular bag.

    Cheers

heres mine, its sloow haha but here it is anyway (blaming the tyres for the sake of my self esteem )
I used my i phone and this program called harrys track timer which allows u to overlay some info on the video, but i couldnt figure it out yet and the video is on the flip side.
Its pretty cool though, you set trigger points on the gps(google map compatible) for when it starts timing/viedo recording automatically.
the vids are from the 3rd course

Found those, track timer looks good! I've used the app Trackmaster but without an external GPS it only updates once a second and shows me going well off the track before it updates.

You can rotate the video once it's on youtube, but that'd throw your speedo and everything off on your videos.

I dont know much about these models but that is a very tidy car! And still quite rare here?

Also would like to know how you can rotate video in Youtube, i needed to do this the other day with some iphone footage i recorded the wrong way

thanks man got plans for it hopefully will get some improvement. yeah theyre pretty rare round these parts seen a total of 5 in perth now...including mine. theres only one place u can get them, a import dealership in wangara.

yeah i need to get an external device to improve the accuracy, ill look into a tom tom..but the signal was strong consider the amount of trees on the course
im thinking maybe the app wants me to record in landscape rather than portrait. but im not sure coz if i do that then the timer and realtime info interface wont be the right way up. ill def look into it

Took me a bit to work out - this is assuming it's a video you've already uploaded, otherwise do that first.

    Assuming you're logged in:
Click on your name to open up the options, then videos
Click 'edit' on any of your videos
Across the top, just under the search box, there are a few options, go to 'Video Editor'
Drag your video to edit down to the white square next to the camera symbol
If you hover over it, 3 buttons will pop up (cut / rotate / effects).

    Voila!

Pics from what ive seen look great!
but a lot of you need to get a LOT lower and stiffen your suspension before trying this again, im no Pro , but holy fuck theres some body roll in almost every pic.

Can i just ask for future reference, how were the "admins" or "clerk of the course's" attitude when it came to smoke ? ie. drifting ?

Just wanting to show interest in the next one as that track looks pretty cool!!!

well most runs i dropped it from 2nd gear and baked it..

few other cars dropped skids too... the dude didnt say 1 word about it..

had no issues with sliding either.. as long as people weren't continuously going off..

Rules are pretty simple coffee, no standstills, no dragging dirt onto the track.

    everything else, fair game.

I actually think i need softer springs.
Also thicker swaybars will help remove bodyroll better than stiff springs, while still retaining on road drivability (being as most of those cars see daily driving duties)

Coilovers are next on my to-do list, but I think for 21 year old stock suspension (other than a rear swaybar) mine did okay

I don't think I'm keen to go any stiffer than it is now, body roll is fairly well controlled, with the coilovers on soft it's compliant (heck, even on firm it's passable) and as it is the car wants to step out. Any stiffer and I'd struggle to get the power down out of corners.

photos can be a bit deceiving too given that the course is basically a carpark and not a flat race track.. Even my car with 16kg springs, tightest dampers, low rideheight and stiffest swaybars looked to have roll in some..

Im hoping to have my car fixed for the next one..these are bulk fun..

Also, can TECCWA do a tuning day at Wannaz some time soon?
